Oversized passenger stuck in first class seat for hours after 6-hour flight from Nigeria.
After the British Airways flight from Murtala International Airport in Lagos landed at Heathrow Airport in London on the morning of July 29, the British passenger sitting in seat 1A was unable to get up from his seat.

Flight attendants were also unable to help him out of his seat. Finally, they had to call for help, remove a door from the cabin and use a hoist (a heavy lifting system) to rescue the passenger who had been trapped for three hours.
"The flight attendants did their best to calm him down," a fellow passenger was quoted as saying by British media. "It sounds funny, but really, everyone felt sorry for him."
According to the travel website Business Class Experts, British Airways' first-class seats are about 0.6 meters wide and cost nearly $9,000.
