He leaves his hometown and travels to the Brown Planet, a city that seems promising but is actually fraught with difficulties and fierce competition.
The play "Brown Planet" by Quoc Thao Theatre
In a twist of fate, Cao Huy is tricked into working in a harsh laundry cellar, where he meets others in similar circumstances. These individuals, from diverse backgrounds but sharing the pain of oppression, escape together and establish a chocolate shop driven by their passion. Despite the malicious competition from unscrupulous capitalists and a greedy police chief, they persevere in protecting their dream.
The performance impressed not only with its content but also with its unique stage design. The space was vividly recreated, strongly reminiscent of the European steam-powered era, with delicate details and clever handling, creating an atmosphere that was both familiar and novel. The costumes were meticulously crafted, vibrant, and beautiful. In particular, the original songs and cheerful music delighted the audience.
The Brown Planet also impressed with new faces such as Doan Kim Tu, Harry Nguyen, Quang Tu Huynh, Anh Bao, Le Ba Tan, Khanh Minh, Hoang Thai Bao, Phong Thang, Hoang Mai, Nhu Y, Thuong Pham, Minh Anh, Quoc Nguyen, Trung Khoa... With their youthful enthusiasm, they delivered vibrant performances with charming choreography and body language. The work evoked beautiful emotions about friendship and perseverance, along with a positive message perfectly suited to the atmosphere of the New Year.
