Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development - Nam Thanh Hoa Branch ( Agribank Nam Thanh Hoa) strictly implements the Party and State's policies on currency and banking, especially credit policies to promote economic restructuring in agriculture, contributing to the construction of new rural areas, ensuring social security, actively contributing to the process of building and developing the socio-economy of the country in general and Thanh Hoa province in particular.

Agribank Nam Thanh Hoa is a class I branch under the Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Agribank), established on January 1, 2019, on the basis of separation from Agribank Thanh Hoa province. Immediately after its establishment, Agribank Nam Thanh Hoa quickly stabilized its organizational model, built and implemented internal management regulations, focused on directing the improvement of management and operation quality, and improved customer service quality, which was identified as a breakthrough to bring the branch to develop quickly and sustainably.

In the context of increasing competition, the Branch always identifies capital mobilization as a key task throughout, along with constantly providing a variety of banking products and services, improving facilities, investing in modern equipment, rapidly developing electronic banking services in the direction of digital banking, promoting cashless payments, facilitating transactions anytime, anywhere for customers.

Over the past 5 years, the Branch has invested in and upgraded its technology infrastructure, developed POS and ATM systems, put into operation the Autobank CDM automatic banking system; increased e-banking utilities such as payment via VietQR code, QR code, online payment connection between the bank and public service providers such as hospitals, schools, etc. At the same time, digitalizing customers, digitalizing internal operations, human resource management, etc. helps optimize operating processes, increase payment speed and improve accuracy in banking transactions.

Closely following the local socio-economic development orientations, Agribank Nam Thanh Hoa has well performed the mission of "Tam Nong", focusing on prioritizing capital for investment in agricultural, farmer and rural development, directing flexible credit growth according to the credit investment portfolio in line with market developments; well performing the advisory role for local Party committees and authorities to effectively implement credit programs such as: Lending for agricultural and rural development according to Decree 55/2015/ND-CP and Decree 116/2018/ND-CP of the Government; Lending for expanding production and business to serve the goal of building new rural areas; Lending with preferential interest rates according to Agribank's programs...

Credit capital is brought closer to the people through coordination with the Farmers' Association and Women's Union to build a system of 1,300 loan groups in villages, hamlets, and residential areas and deploy mobile transaction points using specialized cars. Credit quality is strictly controlled, the bad debt ratio is always below the permitted level and lower than the average level of credit institutions in the area, ensuring the permitted safety ratio. The branch regularly maintains the proportion of agricultural and rural loans accounting for over 80% of total outstanding loans; gradually increases the proportion of outstanding loans to enterprises to meet the needs of economic development in key economic areas, dynamic areas, and economic corridors according to the orientation of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee. Through the investment capital of Agribank Nam Thanh Hoa, it has made an important contribution to job creation, labor restructuring, improving people's lives in rural areas, promoting new rural construction, and socio-economic growth in the locality.

Implementing the direction of the National Assembly, the Government, the State Bank, and Agribank on policies to support people and businesses affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, Agribank Nam Thanh Hoa has seriously, promptly, and substantially implemented policies to support customers such as reducing loan interest rates, restructuring debt terms, maintaining debt groups, providing new loans with preferential interest rates, and exempting domestic money transfers... with nearly 70,000 customers receiving support; the total fees and interest supported to customers is nearly 200 billion VND. Thereby, it has contributed to the effective implementation of the Party and State's policies to support people and businesses to overcome difficulties caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Not only making a mark in business, Agribank Nam Thanh Hoa also devotes many resources to social security work, demonstrating the responsibility of a bank for the community, affection and sharing. Over the past 5 years, the Branch has spent nearly 14 billion VND on social security work in the area, with many meaningful programs and activities such as: Donating schools worth 6 billion VND, donating 12 gratitude houses, donating more than 4,300 Tet gifts to policy families and families in difficult circumstances worth more than 2.1 billion VND; donating bookshelves and learning equipment worth 320 million VND; donating more than 70,000 seedlings; supporting the Covid-19 Prevention and Control Fund with more than 1.9 billion VND... The kindness that Agribank Nam Thanh Hoa has given has given strength to many disadvantaged families to overcome their circumstances, writing beautiful stories in everyday life.

The branch has had high growth in scale, quality, safe and effective business operations with total mobilized capital reaching over 14,600 billion VND, 2.2 times higher than when it was first established, total outstanding loans to the economy reaching over 16,400 billion VND, 1.8 times higher than when it was first established. Agribank Nam Thanh Hoa has become one of the leading branches in terms of credit quality in the Agribank system; maintaining the position and role of a branch under the leading commercial bank in Vietnam, making many important contributions to the socio-economic development in Thanh Hoa province.

In recognition of the important achievements and contributions of Agribank Nam Thanh Hoa, in recent times, the Prime Minister, the Provincial People's Committee, the State Bank of Vietnam, and the Board of Directors of Agribank have presented many noble awards to the collectives and individuals of the Branch. Every year, the unit is always classified by Agribank as a Branch that has excellently completed its business tasks. In 2021, Agribank was ranked first in the emulation bloc of the North Central Region; in 2022, it was awarded a Certificate of Merit and Emulation Flag by the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam; from 2020 to 2023, it continuously received a Certificate of Merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; in 2021 and 2023, it was awarded the title "Typical Enterprise of Thanh Hoa" by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
