On the morning of July 27, at the Provincial People's Committee, the Department of Information and Communications chaired and coordinated with VNPT Hau Giang and Viettel Hau Giang to organize the signing ceremony of a cooperation agreement to provide public digital signatures for people in the province. Attending were comrade Ho Thu Anh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, along with leaders of departments, branches, sectors, People's Committees of districts, towns and cities.
Through the Plan for issuing public digital certificates in the province, Mr. Nguyen Hong Hai, Deputy Director of the Department of Information and Communications of the province, said that the goal is to increase the application of digital signatures; increase the number of adults in Hau Giang province with digital signatures applied to electronic transactions. Along with that, effectively deploy the application of digital signatures to digitally sign the components of the dossier when submitting documents online on the Public Service Portal and performing other services on the network environment.

Signatory units provide public digital signatures to citizens
The goal is that 100% of people who come to submit their applications directly at the Reception and Result Delivery Departments will be consulted and provided with free public digital certificates and instructions on how to use digital signatures when submitting applications online. 100% of officials, civil servants, and public employees of departments, branches, and sectors; districts, towns, and cities; grassroots youth organizations, women's associations in hamlets and areas in the province will be issued public digital certificates. Strive for 50% of adults in the province to be issued public digital certificates; ensure that 65% of students from grade 10 and above and university students in the province will be issued digital certificates.
A representative of VNPT Hau Giang said that in Hau Giang province, 100% of enterprises have used digital signatures for transactions mainly tax declaration, customs, social insurance, electronic contracts, electronic invoice issuance... 100% of organizations use digital signatures at the unit, individuals in the organization use digital signatures to sign electronic documents, online treasury transactions... Meanwhile, the rate of people with personal digital certificates and using digital signatures is still low. Accordingly, VNPT Hau Giang has coordinated with the Department of Information and Communications of Hau Giang province to integrate digital signatures on the province's Public Service Portal, ready to deploy and provide free services to people when using public services. Speaking at the signing ceremony, comrade Ho Thu Anh said: Through the signing of the cooperation agreement to provide free digital signatures today, it will contribute to further improving the digital transformation work in the province. In particular, it will help the province promote the digitalization of administrative procedures on the Public Service Portal, contributing to creating a solid foundation for the digital transformation roadmap and building a smart city in the province in the coming time. The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee suggested that after the signing ceremony, in order to create conditions for network operators to effectively deploy, the Department of Information and Communications needs to develop a statistical plan, divide the area and specific units for each unit, so that network operators can facilitate the implementation process...
