On October 23, the survey team of the Culture and Society Committee, the Provincial People's Council organized a survey on the settlement of voters' opinions and recommendations on the quality of domestic water in Chau Hung commune. Attending were comrade Le Thi Thuy Kieu - Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council; representatives of a number of related sectors.

Chau Hung commune currently has 2 water plants supplying clean water to local people. Up to now, the clean water supply system of the 2 plants has been expanded to 12/12 hamlets. The whole commune has 4,987/5,754 households using clean water provided by water plants of the Rural Clean Water Center of Region III, Vinh Long province, reaching 86.67%.
Voters of Chau Hung commune have proposed that the water plant open the water network to the following routes: Cay Dau Street, Long Nhon Hamlet; Self-managed People's Group Road No. 7, 17, 24, 25, 26, Long An Hamlet ; Bo Xe Road, Hung Thanh Hamlet; Giong Noi Street, Tan Hung Hamlet; DX.01 Road, Giong Ho Hamlet. At the same time, the two water plants need to thoroughly treat the turbid water before providing cleaner water to the people.
After listening to the opinions of the sectors, localities and representatives of the water plant, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council - Le Thi Thuy Kieu acknowledged and shared the efforts of the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations of Chau Hung commune, as well as the Rural Clean Water Center and water supply stations in providing clean water to the people. She requested the Department of Health and the Department of Science and Technology to review research topics on rainwater treatment so that they can be applied and guided for people to use.

The Department of Health has increased inspections of water quality at bottled water and tap water plants. At the same time, it has proposed surveys and plans to replace damaged water supply pipes to ensure stable supply. It has recommended the application of technology such as surveillance cameras and measuring devices to improve the quality of management and operation of water plants. It has regularly coordinated with specialized agencies to inspect and monitor the quality of wastewater from nearby livestock and crop farms to protect the source.
Before the working session at Chau Hung Commune People's Committee headquarters, the delegation visited 4 households and Thoi Lai water plant.
