The movement "Green, clean, beautiful, ensuring occupational safety and hygiene" at the Trade Union of Son La Urban Environment and Services Joint Stock Company has been contributing to improving working conditions, creating a safe environment, clean and beautiful landscape, limiting and preventing the risk of occupational accidents and diseases for union members and workers.

With the characteristics of a large area of operation, the nature of the work is complicated, there is a potential risk of accidents and occupational diseases for union members and workers in the collection, transportation and treatment of household waste; management and operation of urban lighting systems, care for flower gardens and parks; maintenance of urban drainage systems. In order to effectively implement the movement "Green - clean - beautiful, ensuring occupational safety and hygiene", the Trade Union of Son La Urban Environment and Services Joint Stock Company has promoted propaganda for employers, cadres and union members about the goals, contents and meanings of the movement with many diverse forms, creating positive changes in maintaining and implementing the movement, building a culture of occupational safety and hygiene at the workplace, improving working conditions for workers.

Ms. Dam Thi Thanh Thom, Chairwoman of the Grassroots Union, said: The company's union currently has 642 members. Following the directives of the superiors, the union has advised the Party Committee and proactively coordinated with the company's Board of Directors to develop a "Green, clean, beautiful, and safe-for-work" business model, contributing to improving working conditions, creating a safe environment, clean and beautiful landscape, limiting and preventing the risk of occupational accidents and diseases for union members, workers and employees.

At the Company's headquarters and branches and factories, we have organized the planting and care of trees, flower beds, and designed signs at the workplace. Arranged sanitary trash bins to prevent waste from accumulating... The grassroots trade union has consulted and coordinated with the Board of Directors to pay attention to investing in and renovating the headquarters of the units, directing the good implementation of activities such as: "National Week on occupational safety and hygiene, fire prevention and fighting", "Month of action on occupational safety and hygiene", activities in response to the Month of action for the environment and World Environment Day; launched and organized a movement to promote initiatives to improve working conditions; developed a reward system for occupational safety and hygiene; built a safety culture at the workplace.

The Union also launched the "5S" emulation movement throughout the Company (Screening, arranging, cleaning, caring, and being ready). In occupational safety and health work, arranging the office neatly and scientifically , cleaning and planting trees in the working area..., overcoming the situation of degraded factories, cramped and unsafe spaces. Cooperating with functional departments to organize training on fire prevention and fighting skills at the enterprise, helping employees proactively handle unexpected situations.

Promote propaganda to union members and workers about the contents of occupational safety and health work, measures to ensure occupational safety, prevent occupational accidents and diseases, prevent fires and explosions, and occupational safety and health policies and regimes on mass media and zalo groups; distribute leaflets, posters, and occupational safety and health handbooks to help workers have regular access and learn about the Party and State's policies and regulations on occupational safety and health.

Ms. Dang Thi Hong Them, a member of the Union of the Urban Environment Enterprise, Son La Urban Environment and Services Joint Stock Company, said: With the nature of the work of environmental sanitation workers, working outdoors, often having to come into contact with a toxic environment, with many potential risks of accidents and occupational diseases, we are always aware of and comply with the rules and regulations on occupational safety and health. In addition, union members and employees have a safe working environment, are fully equipped with labor protection, and receive annual health check-ups, thereby contributing to improving their health to complete assigned tasks well.

The effectiveness of the implementation of the movement "Green - clean - beautiful; ensure occupational safety and health" at Son La Urban Environment and Services Joint Stock Company has helped employees pay more attention and be more aware of environmental protection, improve their health and quality of life, reduce the risk of accidents and occupational diseases.
