Convenient for people and businesses
According to the Lien Chieu District Medical Center on the morning of August 1, most people coming to see a doctor or receive medical treatment used their smartphones to open the QR code of their health insurance card on the Vietnam Social Security VssID application instead of using paper cards as before. Ms. Tran Thi Ly (Group 50, Hoa Minh Ward, Lien Chieu District) said that since installing the VssID application, VNeID electronic identification on her phone, medical examination, treatment or performing administrative procedures are convenient and time-saving, especially reducing the number of types of documents that need to be carried.
To bring convenience to people as above, the city has updated personal identification number/citizen identification card (CCCD) information into the national database on insurance, synchronized with the national database on population to serve the integration of health insurance cards into chip-embedded CCCD; integrated the process of participating in social insurance, electronic health books into the VNeID level 2 application.
According to data from the Department of Information and Communications, as of June 15, the city's Social Insurance has synchronized nearly 1.09 million people, reaching 99% of the number of people participating in social insurance, health insurance, and voluntary insurance in the city.
This is one of the positive results from the implementation of the Smart City project. Accordingly, the project builds a roadmap for implementation in 3 phases: by 2020, ready infrastructure, platform and smart data; by 2025, smart applications; and by 2030, smart community applications and complete the construction of smart cities, synchronously connecting with smart urban networks in the country and the ASEAN region.
To date, the city has completed and put into use 27 priority projects under the Smart City project with a total implementation cost of 214.4 billion VND; 4 projects have approved construction design documents with a total cost of 82.5 billion VND and are expected to be put into use in 2024-2025; 8 projects have approved investment policies with a total cost of over 884 billion VND, including notable projects such as modernizing the command center with a cost of 404 billion VND, the integrated center for controlling the resilience of green and smart urban areas with a cost of 258 billion VND, etc.
The city has deployed many applications, utilities and channels for people and businesses to use, and interactions between the government and people in the digital environment such as the Danang Smart City multi-service and utility integration platform (more than 1.2 million downloads); MyPortal digital citizen platform (more than 320,000 people have accounts); 1 digital data warehouse on the e-Government system; Danang Feedback Portal and Rescue (1,000 comments and feedback/month); Give and Receive application and Call Center (10,000 comments/month); Chatbot application for automatic consultation on administrative procedure instructions and public services (more than 4,000 consultations/month)...

Continue to implement key tasks until 2025
According to Decision No. 934/QD-UBND dated April 7, 2022 on the plan to implement the Smart City construction project in 2022-2025, Da Nang prioritizes a number of tasks: developing 5G mobile network infrastructure, Internet of Things (IoT) infrastructure; completing the upgrade and expansion of the city's data center with a cloud computing platform; developing a network planning for surveillance camera systems in the city, completing a shared data warehouse to ensure the ability to process diverse types of data; continuing to upgrade and complete specialized monitoring centers, connecting and sharing with the City's Smart Operation Monitoring Center (IOC) and district and county operation centers; forming a synchronous and unified urban infrastructure database system on the GIS geographic information system with full layers of land, construction, traffic data, etc.
To achieve the above goals, Mr. Nguyen Quang Thanh, Director of the Department of Information and Communications, said that the department will continue to coordinate with units and localities to deploy and effectively exploit specialized applications, databases, and online public services; at the same time, promote domestic and international cooperation, attract resources and technology, solutions from organizations, businesses, and experts to support the implementation of the Smart City; strengthen propaganda and mobilize organizations, businesses, and people of the city to create support, participation, and companionship in the implementation of the Smart City. In addition, the city has proposed to the Central Government to prioritize support resources, guide Da Nang on procedures and processes for building international fiber optic cable stations; Early promulgation of guidelines on the level of data openness, financial policies, fees and charges for the exploitation and use of open data and data services by State agencies, creating revenue sources to maintain and develop digital data.
