The Principal of Foreign Trade University tells new graduates: "Success does not come from a smooth road"

In his message to the new graduates at the graduation ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Bui Anh Tuan, Principal of Foreign Trade University, shared that on the road ahead, there will be many times when you feel confused when standing at the crossroads. But remember that the privilege of youth is “trial and error”. Success does not come from smooth roads, but is the result of many trials.

On April 6, Foreign Trade University held the first graduation ceremony of 2025 for nearly 1,300 full-time university students of the 60th course and additional courses at the Hanoi Headquarters and Quang Ninh Campus.

Of these, 32.4% of students achieved excellent results, 47% of students achieved good academic results, the total number of excellent and excellent graduates reached nearly 80%. The first batch of graduates in 2025 demonstrated outstanding efforts in their studies, with most completing the study program within 3.5 years.

Speaking at the ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Bui Anh Tuan, President of Foreign Trade University, emphasized that the new graduates have completed a long, challenging journey with constant efforts.

According to the Principal, in 2021, the 60th class students experienced the most special opening ceremony in the 65-year history of the Foreign Trade University - an online opening ceremony due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. The pandemic posed an unprecedented challenge, forcing teachers and students of the school to change their approach to knowledge, interaction and adaptation to a volatile world .

But in that special circumstance, they have grown up in their own unique way - adapting flexibly, discovering their own abilities, nurturing innovative thinking, forging a strong will and cultivating responsibility, not only for themselves but also for the community.

“I am extremely proud that most of the new graduates sitting here have excellently graduated early compared to the usual study schedule. The difficulties have not discouraged them, but on the contrary, have tempered their courage and given them more motivation to rise up stronger and more resilient than ever,” Associate Professor Dr. Bui Anh Tuan expressed.

Representing 1,300 new graduates, Tran Thien Huong, a student of Course 60, Faculty of Business Administration, majoring in International Business Administration, expressed that Foreign Trade University has given her and her friends the opportunity to create their own differences.
