On the evening of April 21, people in many areas of Tam Ky city and Nam Tra My district in Quang Nam province were surprised to witness hail with very large grains that lasted for many minutes.

According to records, at around 6:50 p.m., a hailstorm with strong gusts of wind appeared in areas around Tam Ky City. Hail suddenly poured down in large quantities for about 1 minute, followed by heavy rain with hail.
The terrible hail caused many booths at the fair held at Tam Ky Square to collapse.
On social media, accounts of internet users living in Tam Ky City shared images of the above hailstorm. Many people were surprised and curious about this natural phenomenon. Many people took pictures of the stones they picked up in the rain. The stones were as small as marbles, 1-2 cm in diameter, and melted quickly after hitting the ground. In some places, people shared images of many stones with a diameter of 2-3 cm.
It is known that in the past 3 days, Quang Nam province has been extremely hot, many localities have recorded temperatures from 37 to 40 degrees Celsius, some places higher.
On the same afternoon, in Tra Vinh commune, Nam Tra My district, hail also appeared with quite large hailstones.
