HIU announces quality assurance threshold for health sector input in 2025

GD&TĐ - HIU has just announced the admission threshold for the method of considering high school graduation exam results in 2025 for the health sector.

Immediately after the Ministry of Education and Training issued a decision on determining the threshold to ensure input quality for health majors with university-level practice certificates, Hong Bang International University (school code: HIU) announced the admission threshold (admission floor score) for the method of considering high school graduation exam results in 2025 for health majors.

Accordingly, the floor score is applied according to each admission method including: Considering high school graduation exam results, Considering a combination of graduation exam scores and grade 12 transcripts (1 transcript subject + 2 high school exam subjects), and considering high school transcripts.

Specifically:

· Medicine, Dentistry: 20.5 points (based on high school exam scores), 21 points (based on combined scores), 22.25 points (based on academic records).

• Pharmacy, Traditional Medicine: 19 points (based on high school exam scores), 19.5 points (combined scores), 20.5 points (based on academic records).
• Nursing, Midwifery, Medical Laboratory Technology, Rehabilitation Technology, Medical Imaging Technology: 17 points (based on high school exam scores), 17.5 points (combined), 18.5 points (based on academic records).

· Public Health and Nutrition: because it is not bound by the admission threshold according to regulations, HIU accepts applications with 15 points (considering high school exam scores), 16 points (considering combined scores), 18 points (considering academic records).

Applying many methods and flexible scores helps candidates proactively choose the admission method that suits their abilities, while increasing their chances of being admitted to their desired field of study.

Previously, on July 16, HIU also announced the minimum admission scores for majors in the following groups: Economics - Management, International Languages and Cultures, Social Sciences, Technology - Engineering and Educational Sciences. Accordingly, the minimum admission scores are 15 points (based on high school graduation exam scores), 15 points (based on combined scores) and 18 points (based on transcripts based on a combination of 3 subjects in grade 12 or an average score of 3 years in grades 10, 11, 12 of 6.0 or higher).

Candidates applying for admission to the Health sector at HIU must meet the following additional academic requirements: Medicine, Dentistry, Traditional Medicine and Pharmacy require an excellent academic record; Nursing, Midwifery, Medical Laboratory Technology, Rehabilitation Technology and Medical Imaging Technology require a good academic record or higher. Nutrition and Public Health are not bound by academic requirements.

Registration, adjustment and addition of university admission wishes are carried out within the time prescribed by the Ministry of Education and Training, from July 16, 2025 to before 5:00 p.m. on July 28, 2025, with no limit on the number of registrations.

When registering, candidates should note:

· Priority to choose Choice 1 is HIU - Hong Bang International University

· Choose the correct admission code corresponding to 40 training codes of HIU

Admission results are expected to be announced before 5:00 p.m. on August 22, 2025.

Please note that candidates do not need to choose a method code or a combination code when registering their wishes. The general admission system of the Ministry of Education and Training will automatically use the combination and method with the highest results for admission, optimizing the candidates' chances of being admitted. It is important that candidates clearly identify their desired major, group of majors and training programs to register correctly.
