The implementation method is to build a table to convert the scores of V-SAT subjects to high school graduation exam scores using the percentile method, combining linear interpolation to convert equivalent scores according to percentile rankings. The linear interpolation formula is as follows:

In which: x is the candidate's V-SAT score; a, b are two benchmarks determining the V-SAT score range ( a < x ≤ b ); y is the conversion score equivalent to high school graduation score; c, d are two benchmarks determining the corresponding high school graduation score range ( c < y ≤ d ).
The benchmarks (percentiles) are determined based on the analysis of the test scores for each subject of all candidates participating in 2 Exams at the same time. (both taking the V-SAT and the High School Graduation Exam).
For example, a student has a V-SAT Math score x = 115 in the range 114.5 < x ≤ 122.5, in the top 20%, so a = 114.5; b = 122.5; c = 7.0 and d = 7.75. Applying the linear interpolation formula, the V-SAT score after converting to high school graduation exam score is calculated according to the formula:

This means that a student who scores 115 on the V-SAT Math exam is equivalent to 7.05 on the High School Graduation Exam Math exam.
With the above formula, the conversion range of V-SAT test scores and high school graduation exam scores by subject by percentile is as follows:

In 2025, 11 higher education institutions will organize the computer-based university entrance assessment test (V-SAT) to obtain admission scores, including: Thai Nguyen University, Banking Academy, Can Tho University, Banking University of Ho Chi Minh City, Saigon University, Hung Yen University of Technical Education, Ho Chi Minh City Open University, University of Finance and Marketing, Dong Thap University, Tra Vinh University and Van Lang University.
The V-SAT test results organized by the above-mentioned universities are also recognized and used by many other universities for regular university admission.
The V-SAT is a computer-based college entrance assessment test that has been used by some higher education institutions for admissions since 2023.
The reality of 3 years shows that the V-SAT exam is organized safely and effectively; the quality of the V-SAT exam ensures high reliability. Candidates can proactively register for the exam, choose suitable exam scores and can take the exam multiple times a year (before or after the high school graduation exam), and can choose the highest score of each subject in the exam sessions for admission. Therefore, the number of higher education institutions that trust and use the results of this exam for admission is gradually increasing.
