Coach Kim Sang Sik has a quality "deputy" from Korea

This afternoon (July 2), VFF officially signed a contract with fitness expert Yoon Dong-hun. This expert's contract with VFF is valid until 2026.

Mr. Yoon Dong Hun's main task is to support Head Coach Kim Sang Sik in ensuring and improving the physical foundation of the players, meeting the high intensity of competition in international tournaments in the coming time.

At the contract signing ceremony, Mr. Yoon Dong Hun thanked the VFF leaders for trusting and giving him the opportunity to become a member of the Vietnam national team, and affirmed that he will do his best to complete the assigned tasks.

Mr. Yoon Dong Hun, born in 1983, Korean nationality, is a fitness expert with many years of experience working at Kitchee Club of Hong Kong (China) and is considered to have made important contributions to the success of this club from 2019 to 2022, notably reaching the round of 16 at the AFC Champions League 2022.

In addition to his formal training in physicaleducation at a Korean university, Mr. Yoon Dong Hun also holds an AFC A-level coaching certificate and an AFC Level 2 fitness coaching certificate. As a member of the younger generation, Mr. Yoon Dong Hun also has the advantage of using technical technology and data analysis to improve work efficiency.

Previously, VFF appointed coach Sang Wuk An for a short time in the second qualifying round of the 2026 World Cup. After that, he left the Vietnam team. In addition to his role as a fitness coach, Mr. Sang Wuk An also participated in professional and technical training exercises for the Vietnam team. In addition, he and assistant Choi Won Kwon went to watch matches in the V-League to recruit players.
