Coach Polking and Quang Hai announced to lift the championship trophy in Thailand

"The first leg proved to be a very competitive final between two of the region's top teams. The second leg is even more exciting and will certainly be a top-notch regional contest.

We came here to get the best result. The whole team feels empowered by the support of the fans," coach Polking said before the rematch against Buriram in the second leg of the 2024-2025 Southeast Asian Cup final.

In the first leg of the final, the two teams drew 2-2. In the second leg, the match between Hanoi Police and Buriram is predicted to be much more exciting and dramatic.

"I hope Hanoi Police play well and achieve the desired results. I brought all the players here to prepare for the match. Luckily, no one is injured or suspended," said Coach Polking.

During the afternoon practice session of May 19 of the Hanoi Police Club, a very special character appeared, that was Coach Kiatisuk - former captain of the police team.

The Thai strategist met and talked with coach Mano Polking when the Hanoi Police Club was completing the final preparations before the second leg of the Southeast Asian Cup C1 final.

This action by coach Kiatisuk is seen as a spiritual encouragement for Quang Hai and his teammates before the match that will decide the championship.

"The presence of Kiatisuk is very helpful. Kiatisuk shares with the team how to quickly adapt to the weather. When we arrived in Thailand, he also supported the team in terms of facilities, but not related to expertise," said coach Polking.

Meanwhile, midfielder Nguyen Quang Hai expressed confidence in Hanoi Police Club's chances of winning: "We have the best preparation for tomorrow's match. Hanoi Police Club came here to aim for a victory and bring the cup back to Vietnam."

Regarding the pressure from tens of thousands of away fans, Quang Hai expressed: "The whole team always feels excited when playing in crowded stadiums. For us, that is normal.

As professional players, we have all played in stadiums packed with fans like that. No matter what the circumstances, we will give our all."

The second leg final between Hanoi Police Club and Buriram will take place at 7:30 p.m. on May 21 at Chang Arena in Thailand.
