U23 Australia coach Joseph Palatsides said: "We are well prepared and excited to face Vietnam, the strongest team in the tournament. Their head coach is also good and experienced, so we still follow the plan, knowing that the match is difficult but excited to face the challenge."
When asked about the most dangerous individual of the Vietnamese women's team, the Australian U23 coach said he highly appreciated the whole team: "I don't want to talk about any individual. Their coach is a veteran, the Vietnamese players have been with the team for a long time, I can't say who is more dangerous, because everyone is good. To beat them, we have to be really strong, and need a little more luck. I will focus on my players to prepare for tomorrow's match."
The coach of the Australian U23 team has praised and highly appreciated the Vietnamese women's team.
Meanwhile, coach Mai Duc Chung commented: "We are also excited to prepare for the match, the two teams are well-matched and even. I respect our opponents with a young force, a generation preparing for the Australian women's team. We will play well in the semi-final, hoping that fans will come to the stadium to support us, and audiences across the country will cheer us on."
"We have the advantage of a day off, and our opponents also have to travel from Viet Tri to Hai Phong , but that's in theory. In reality, Australia is young, healthy, and has a quick start. Although they lost to Myanmar in the first match, they played well in the second match. Vietnam will face a tough opponent, so we must prepare carefully for tomorrow's match," added the coach of the Vietnamese women's team.
Mr. Chung also said that the whole team will strive with high determination, cannot be subjective and play their best in tomorrow's match.
Besides, captain Huynh Nhu also shared: "This is not the first time playing at home with such a large number of fans, that is the motivation for the players to strive. In the upcoming match, I believe that more fans will come, bringing a great atmosphere to the semi-final match".
The semi-final match of the 2025 Southeast Asian Women's Football Championship between the Vietnamese women's team and U23 Australia will take place at 8:00 p.m. tomorrow (August 16).
