Henley & Partners, a global citizenship and residency consulting firm based in London, has just released its updated "Henley Passport Index 2025" ranking. According to the index, Singapore tops the ranking, with its citizens being allowed visa-free entry to 193 countries and territories.

South Korea and Japan share the second position in the ranking.
As the most powerful passports in 2024, Germany and France dropped to third place in this year's ranking, alongside passports from most European countries such as Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Italy, and Spain.
Meanwhile, the US passport ranks 10th, alongside Iceland and Lithuania, with 182 countries and territories willing to welcome their citizens without requiring a visa.
At the bottom of the list, the Afghan passport offers visa-free access to only 25 destinations. Passports from countries experiencing armed conflict, including Syria, Iraq, Pakistan, and Yemen, occupy the remaining positions in this year's list of the five least powerful passports in the world .
