Ho Hoai Anh has resigned from the Vietnam National Academy of Music.

Mr. Quoc Chung, Deputy Head of General Administration Department, Vietnam National Academy of Music, told Dan Tri reporter that Ho Hoai Anh proactively asked to resign. The procedures for Ho Hoai Anh to resign have been completed and an official decision has been made.

This person did not disclose the time when Ho Hoai Anh officially quit his job at the Vietnam National Academy of Music. However, according to a private source of Dan Tri, Ho Hoai Anh quit his job from April 2023.

Previously, in December 2022, Dan Tri reporter contacted the National Academy of Music to ask and confirm more information about Ho Hoai Anh's artistic activities after a period of silence. The Academy's Organization Department said that for the past few months, Ho Hoai Anh had asked for unpaid leave due to family matters and that period had not yet expired.

"After the unpaid leave period expires, Ho Hoai Anh can return to work or take additional leave. Ho Hoai Anh will submit an application and notify the Board of Directors and the Organization Department of the Academy later," the Organization Department of the Vietnam National Academy of Music informed.

Ho Hoai Anh and Hong Dang were involved in a scandal while traveling to Mallorca Island, Spain at the end of June. Both returned home before August 6, 2022.

He was awarded the title of Meritorious Artist (NSUT) by the state in 2015.

Ho Hoai Anh has worked for 20 years at the Vietnam National Academy of Music. He is a monochord lecturer at the Traditional Music Department.
