(Dan Tri Newspaper) - Making a comeback after winning the crown, Miss Vietnam Ao Dai Heritage 2024 Hoang Chau Anh captivated the audience as she showcased the ao dai amidst the rain.

On the evening of June 21st, during the " When the Birds Return" art performance in Hung Yen , Miss Vietnam Ao Dai Heritage 2024 Hoang Chau Anh became the center of attention when she showcased an ao dai adorned with "glowing lotus petals" from designer Thoa Tran's " Ngu Lien Huong " collection.

The exquisitely designed ao dai (traditional Vietnamese dress) combines modern techniques with traditional materials, highlighted by luminous lotus petals that glow brightly as she walks across the stage.

The traditional Vietnamese dress not only celebrates the pure and gentle beauty of Vietnamese women but also carries profound symbolic meaning regarding rebirth, national spirit, and the beauty of Vietnamese culture.

With her graceful performance, captivating demeanor, and radiant face, Hoang Chau Anh received enthusiastic applause from over 3,000 spectators at the event.

The weather was unfavorable, with heavy rain during the performance, but it was precisely that moment that made the beauty queen's appearance magical and full of emotion.

Hoang Chau Anh possesses a height of 1.73m and an elegant, refined beauty. Besides her appearance, she also has an impressive academic record, having been a student at Cao Bang Specialized High School and winning numerous awards for academic excellence at the school and provincial levels.

Earlier in January, Chau Anh was crowned Miss Vietnamese Ao Dai Heritage 2024.

In an interview with Dan Tri newspaper after her coronation, Chau Anh stated that she wanted to spread the image of a modern Vietnamese woman who still retains traditional values ​​through the ao dai (traditional Vietnamese dress). Her performance on the "When the Birds Return" show was considered an impressive starting point in realizing that aspiration.

Before Chau Anh, the opening ceremony was held by Miss Tourism World 2022 runner-up Huong Ly (on the right) and model and actor Ngoc Manh.

The couple opened the show with their collection, "Long Cơ Hùng Vị - Tiên Rồng Hội Tụ" (Dragon and Fairy Gathering) , inspired by the legend of Lạc Long Quân and Âu Cơ. The designs are rooted in the origins of the Dragon and Fairy, evoking pride, unity, and the aspiration for progress of the Vietnamese people.

Runner-up Huong Ly confidently strode across the stage, exuding poise and grace to the stirring epic music, recreating the image of Mother Tien amidst a space filled with red, black, and gold hues. The stage lighting, combined with rain effects, created a visual symphony deeply rooted in Vietnamese culture.

Besides the main designs, many other ao dai styles also impress with their exquisite handcrafted patterns and diverse materials such as brocade and silk, recreating the cultural beauty of the three regions of Vietnam: North, Central, and South.

Some outfits utilize turquoise tones with stylized lotus petal accents, creating a gentle, pure feeling and contributing to the message about origins and the connection between humans and nature.

It is known that both collections, "Long Cơ Hùng Vị - Tiên Rồng Hội Tụ" and "Ngũ Liên Hương," were created by designer Thoa Trần (in the middle) with the guidance of Professor of History Lê Văn Lan. Using historical and spiritual elements, and love for her homeland, Thoa Trần tells stories through fashion, as a gentle yet resilient prayer for a strong and prosperous Vietnam.

“It was the rain and the applause that transformed Ngu Lien Huong into a beautiful dream. It’s an emotion that I and the models will never forget,” designer Thoa Tran emotionally shared after the show.

The " When the Birds Return" event is part of the "Returning Footsteps - For a Green Vietnam" program, taking place from June 21st to June 22nd in Hung Yen province, featuring various artistic, environmental, and community activities.
