Although Sarah explained it was a misunderstanding and she was simply rubbing her eyes, this gesture, combined with the caption "eating with Chinese people," was a deliberate act of mocking the appearance of Asians. Videos and images capturing this moment quickly went viral on social media platforms, attracting millions of views and outraged comments from netizens.

Asian communities worldwide , particularly in North America, Europe, and Asia, have strongly condemned Sarah Dzafce's behavior. Many anti-racism organizations have also condemned her actions and called on the Miss Finland organizers to take strict action.

In an official statement, the Miss Finland Organization affirmed that it does not tolerate racism or any form of discrimination. The organizers expressed regret for Sarah Dzafce's actions and offered their sincere apologies to anyone who felt hurt or disrespected, especially the Asian community.

The organizing committee met with Sarah in person after she returned to Finland from her business trip and thoroughly reviewed the entire series of events before reaching a final conclusion. After careful consideration, the organizing committee decided to revoke Sarah Dzafce's Miss Finland crown.

Under pressure from public opinion, Sarah Dzafce posted a statement in Finnish. She acknowledged that her actions had hurt many people and wanted to offer a special apology for what had happened.

Sarah Dzafce also confirmed: "I, Sarah Dzafce, will not be continuing as Miss Suomi (Miss Finland). Goodbye everyone and thank you to everyone who came here. I want to begin by offering my deepest apologies to all those I have offended and hurt, especially the Asian community."
