The Miss Vietnamese Ao Dai Heritage Contest recently concluded with its grand finale on January 11, 2025, at the Son Tay Cultural, Information and Sports Center in Hanoi. Ultimately, Hoang Chau Anh, a 19-year-old beauty from Cao Bang province and a student at the Foreign Trade University of Hanoi, was crowned Miss Ao Dai Heritage, winning the prestigious title.
The "Miss Heritage Ao Dai Vietnam" 2024 pageant is the first national-level competition held in Vietnam, aiming to honor the Vietnamese Ao Dai. The competition is hosted by the People's Committee of Son Tay Town and the Son Tay Cultural and Information Center of Hanoi City, and implemented by QTalent Media Co., Ltd. People's Artist Tran Binh serves as the General Director of the program.

With careful and professional investment, the final night of Miss Ao Dai Heritage Vietnam 2024 left a deep impression on more than 500 live audiences and a large number of followers via livestream on the Miss Ao Dai Heritage Vietnam Fanpage.

The grand finale opened spectacularly with performances of "Conical Hat and Ao Dai" and "You're Beautiful," featuring the Top 30 Vietnamese beauties showcasing their graceful figures in Ao Dai attire.
With a journey filled with effort and aspiration, 30 graceful flowers radiated beauty, creating shining moments in the ao dai – a symbol of traditional beauty and Vietnamese cultural identity. With confident steps and radiant eyes, they not only showcased their physical beauty but also conveyed the cultural values of the ao dai.
And the Ao Dai performance, which has a strong traditional yet modern feel, by the contestants in the unique collection that designer Thoa Tran devoted a lot of effort to bring to the competition, created emotional moments for the audience.

Following their impressive evening gown performances, the Top 7 finalists for the Q&A round were announced: Hoang Chau Anh (028 - Cao Bang); Nguyen Ngoc Thuy Tien (036 - Phu Tho); Nguyen Thi Thao (070 - Hai Duong); Le Thi Ngoc Lan (007 - Thanh Hoa); Do Thu Hien (136 - Quang Ninh); Ha Hong Gam (069 - Thanh Hoa) and Bui Quynh Anh (087 - Bac Giang).
Through their responses regarding the beauty of the Ao Dai (Vietnamese traditional dress), all seven girls presented viewpoints and arguments that convinced the judges.
TOP 7 Miss Heritage Ao Dai Vietnam 2024
In the behavioral round, beauty Hoang Chau Anh received a question from Miss Ngoc Chau: "The Ao Dai of Vietnamese women has existed for a long time and has gone through many stages and changes in the history of the nation, but until now it still affirms its value and is associated with the image of Vietnamese women. Why do you think it has been kept like that?"
Chau Anh answered bilingually: “In my opinion, the reason why the ao dai can survive through the ups and downs of history and is still closely associated with the image of Vietnamese women is for two main reasons:
Firstly, the ao dai is not just clothing but also a cultural symbol, honoring the physical and spiritual beauty of Vietnamese women – gentle, resilient, and full of character. Over time, the ao dai has maintained a special place in the hearts of Vietnamese people, a source of national pride.
Secondly, the ao dai is constantly evolving to suit each era without losing its core essence. This flexibility allows the ao dai to both preserve its traditional identity and become an endless source of inspiration in modern fashion.
For me, the ao dai (Vietnamese traditional dress) is the soul of the nation. Every time I wear it, I feel the beauty of our culture and a deep sense of responsibility to preserve and spread its values. If given the opportunity, I hope to become a bridge, contributing to bringing the image of the ao dai beyond Vietnam's borders, so that the ao dai is not only a precious national heritage but also becomes an enduring symbol, affirming its special place in the hearts of Vietnamese people and international friends.”
After the Q&A round, the Top 3 were announced. The Top 3 are: Ha Hong Gam, Hoang Chau Anh, and Do Thu Hien.
TOP 3 Miss Heritage Ao Dai Vietnam 2024
In the end, with her convincing answers and impressive performance, surpassing the 30 best contestants, Hoang Chau Anh (contestant number 28) from Cao Bang was magnificently crowned Miss Heritage Ao Dai Vietnam 2024.
In addition to the Miss title, Hoang Chau Anh also won two additional awards: Talented Beauty and Best Behaving Beauty.
The title of First Runner-up went to contestant Do Thu Hien (contestant number 136 from Quang Ninh); Second Runner-up went to contestant Ha Hong Gam (contestant number 069 from Thanh Hoa); Third Runner-up went to contestant Nguyen Thi Thao (contestant number 070 from Hai Duong) and Fourth Runner-up went to contestant Le Thi Ngoc Lan (contestant number 007 from Thanh Hoa).
The Top 6 contestant is Nguyen Ngoc Thuy Tien (contestant number 036 from Phu Tho) and the Top 7 contestant is Bui Quynh Anh (contestant number 087 from Bac Giang).
In addition, the title of National Ambassador for Green Environment Communication was awarded to the 2nd and 4th Runner-up.
Along with the crown, the new Miss Vietnamese Ao Dai Heritage 2024 received a prize worth 500 million VND from the Organizing Committee.
The prize for first runner-up is 300 million VND, second runner-up is 200 million VND; third runner-up is 150 million VND and fourth runner-up is 100 million VND.
All awards come with a commemorative plaque and a certificate from the competition organizers.
In addition, the Organizing Committee also awarded the following subsidiary awards: Inspirational Beauty and Charity Beauty to Le Thi Ngoc Lan; Best Ao Dai to Bui Quynh Anh; Media Beauty to Nguyen Ngoc Thuy Tien and Evening Gown Beauty to Cao Anh Thu.
In addition, the Organizing Committee also awarded prizes to two young designers, Nguyen Hai and Le Hieu, who won the Best National Costume design award.

The newly crowned Miss Vietnam Ao Dai Heritage was born in 2005 and is currently a student at the Foreign Trade University in Hanoi – a leading and prestigious university in the country known for training talented and dynamic generations of students.
From the preliminary rounds, Hoang Chau Anh was a strong contender for the Miss title, possessing a charming face and a height of 1.73m. Chau Anh's beauty was considered modern and suitable for international beauty pageants.
The newly crowned Miss Vietnam Ao Dai Heritage not only impressed with her elegant beauty and confident demeanor but also captivated the public with her remarkable academic achievements, outstanding artistic talent, and passionate love for Vietnamese traditional culture.
Born and raised in Cao Bang, Hoang Chau Anh is a former student of Cao Bang Specialized High School – a prestigious school that has trained many generations of outstanding students. From her high school years, she demonstrated exceptional academic talent, with a series of impressive achievements: an IELTS 6.5 certificate showcasing her excellent English proficiency; First Prize in Physics at the school-level Olympic competition; Second Prize in the provincial Science and Technology competition; and a Promising Award at the national Science and Technology competition.
Not only excelling in academics, Hoang Chau Anh is also a prominent figure in artistic activities. At the Miss Foreign Trade 2024 pageant, Chau Anh achieved many prestigious titles: Top 5 Miss Foreign Trade 2024; Most Popular Miss; Top 5 Miss Talent; Top 3 Miss Philanthropy.

The first runner-up of Miss Ao Dai Heritage Vietnam will represent Vietnam at the Miss Icon International 2025 pageant; the second runner-up of Miss Ao Dai Heritage Vietnam will represent Vietnam at the Miss Multinational pageant; the third runner-up of Miss Ao Dai Heritage Vietnam will represent Vietnam at the Miss Environment pageant and the fourth runner-up of Miss Ao Dai Heritage Vietnam will represent Vietnam at the Miss Bikini World pageant.
