According to reporters, at locations such as Ho Guom Lake, the Temple of Literature - National University, Ba Dinh Square, etc., it's not difficult to spot groups of young people dressed in traditional ao dai (Vietnamese long dress) preparing for early Tet (Lunar New Year) photo shoots. Although there are still more than two months until the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026, Phuong Nhung (Hoang Mai District, Hanoi ) has already started preparing her Tet ao dai (traditional Vietnamese dress) photoshoot. Phuong Nhung shared: “ The current weather isn't too cold yet, which is perfect for us to pose in traditional ao dai. Furthermore, I chose to take these photos early because I was afraid that closer to Tet, there would be too many people taking photos, making it difficult to find beautiful and suitable locations for myself.” Learning from previous years, when work and studies become busy as Tet approaches, many young people have chosen to check in with photos wearing Tet ao dai (traditional Vietnamese dress) very early. The area around Hoa Phong Tower (Ho Guom Lake) attracts many young people who choose it as a check-in spot. Tường Vy (Hai Bà Trưng District, Hanoi) said: " We prepared for this photoshoot for many days in advance, from choosing the ao dai (traditional Vietnamese dress) to the hairstyles and accessories that matched the outfits." Just like Vy, the group of friends Phuong, Linh Chi, and Ngan also woke up very early to prepare their makeup, hair, and outfits for the photoshoot. According to Linh Chi, this was a Lunar New Year photoshoot that the group had planned in advance, so when they had time, they didn't hesitate to get dressed up and take the photos right away. Nguyen Minh Thao (Thuong Tin, Hanoi), a photographer in Hanoi, shared: " The end of the year is the busiest time for photographers. This year, many customers booked Tet (Lunar New Year) photoshoots in traditional Vietnamese ao dai dresses very early. I started receiving bookings for Tet photoshoots as early as the beginning of September. The prices this year haven't changed much compared to previous years, with each package ranging from a few hundred thousand to several million dong depending on the customer's requirements." Even though it wasn't the weekend, popular spots in Hanoi still attracted many young people to check in, creating a lively and cheerful atmosphere.
