The Department of Construction of Lam Dong province has allowed people and vehicles with a payload of less than 5 tons, and passenger cars with fewer than 16 seats, to resume traffic on D'ran Pass. Vehicles with a payload of 5 tons or more and passenger cars with 16 seats or more, traveling from the former Lam Dong province to the former Ninh Thuan province and vice versa, should proactively choose to travel along National Highway 27, Provincial Road 729, etc.

Due to the ongoing and complex weather conditions, and with construction continuing to repair damaged areas, the Lam Dong Provincial Department of Construction advises drivers to avoid traveling through D'ran Pass in Da Lat at night or during heavy rain, except when necessary; to drive slowly, and to comply with traffic signs and diversion plans in areas under repair along the route.
Earlier, on the evening of October 28th, heavy and prolonged rainfall caused a landslide on the embankment, with tens of thousands of cubic meters of soil sliding down onto National Highway 20, causing serious traffic congestion. The road surface at this location also cracked for tens of meters. Subsequently, the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee declared a state of emergency to respond to the natural disaster.

Since then, the Lam Dong Provincial Department of Construction has urged the construction unit to accelerate progress and promptly address the consequences. Currently, the mountain passes leading up and down to Da Lat are open to traffic. Only the Khanh Le pass, on the Khanh Hoa province side, remains congested and impassable due to several dangerous landslides. Authorities are still working to resolve these issues.
