Launching unique tour packages
Over the past 11 months, Hanoi welcomed 30.94 million tourists, a 22.1% increase compared to the same period last year; including 7.09 million international visitors and 23.84 million domestic visitors. Revenue from tourism reached approximately 120.6 trillion VND, a 20.7% increase compared to the same period last year.
According to Tran Trung Hieu, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Tourism, Hanoi is currently in a "golden period" to accelerate growth in both the number of tourists and the quality of services. The city's continuous introduction of new and unique tourism products not only increases its attractiveness but also contributes to affirming the capital's position on the national and regional tourism map.
Since June alone, Hanoi has launched a series of new and unique tourism products, most notably a group of 20 nighttime tourism products. The "Tran Vu Bell" program at Quan Thanh Temple is a prime example, recreating the spiritual atmosphere of ancient Hanoi through light and sound performances and traditional acts.
Two main cultural tourism routes, the "South Thang Long Heritage Route" and the "Educational Route," will take visitors to explore the system of historical sites, ancient villages, and temples associated with the educational and cultural history of Thang Long - Hanoi.
Hanoi is also leveraging its infrastructure to develop regional tourism corridors. River tourism routes on the Red River and Duong River, connecting Hanoi with Hung Yen, Bac Ninh, and Hai Phong, are gradually being established, forming a regional tourism corridor. High-quality overnight cruises such as "S Journey," "Hoa Phuong Do" (Hanoi - Hai Phong), and soon the "Nam Cua O" cruise, allow tourists to experience old Hanoi in a modern setting.
Hanoi is also implementing the program "Hanoi residents and tourists experience services at 4-5 star hotels" in the city; encouraging units, businesses, and tourism establishments to develop preferential product packages to attract tourists to stay, relax, enjoy cuisine, and experience services.
Enhancing the tourism status of the Capital City.
Hanoi's tourism industry has not only recovered strongly but has also achieved significant milestones on the international stage. The city is ranked among the Top 3 most popular destinations globally by TripAdvisor, Top 25 most loved destinations of all time, and Top 11 most attractive cities in the world according to Time Out magazine.
Ms. Dang Huong Giang, Director of the Hanoi Department of Tourism, affirmed that cultural and tourism festivals, when invested in on a large scale and in a systematic manner, have created a particularly strong effect on the market.
Mr. Pham Hai Quynh, Director of the Asian Tourism Development Institute, stated that Hanoi's visitor numbers this year were a significant and impressive success, demonstrating the strong recovery and sustainable development of the capital's tourism. The city's tourism experiences, delicious food, high-standard restaurants, and luxury hotels have also been recognized by prestigious travel magazines and award ceremonies. This contributes to promoting Hanoi's increasingly developing tourism and enhancing the capital's tourism position in the region.
