16 contestants have reached the finals of the Miss Vietnamese Ao Dai Heritage pageant.

(CLO) After a series of dramatic and exciting rounds, the organizers have selected 16 outstanding contestants to advance to the finals of the Miss Vietnamese Ao Dai Heritage Contest.

On the evening of January 9, 2025, at the Son Tay Cultural and Sports Center, the People's Committee of Son Tay town, in coordination with Q-Talent, organized the semi-final round of the "Miss Vietnamese Ao Dai Heritage" competition.

At the event, Mr. Le Dai Thang, Vice Chairman of the Son Tay Town People's Committee and Head of the Organizing Committee of the competition, said that with the aim of finding a beauty with sufficient "beauty, heart, and talent" to promote the image of the Vietnamese ao dai, the "Miss Heritage Ao Dai Vietnam" competition has promoted the role and capabilities of Vietnamese women in the process of integration and development, and to promote the country and people of Vietnam to international friends.

The "Miss Vietnamese Ao Dai Heritage" contest was announced to launch in October 2024. Following the preliminary round, the judging panel selected 30 contestants to advance to the next round. These are talented individuals from provinces and cities across the country.

Over the past few days, the contestants have visited and explored typical cultural and historical sites of Son Tay town, such as Duong Lam Ancient Village, Va Temple, Son Tay Ancient Citadel, and the Vietnam Ethnic Groups Cultural and Tourism Village. They participated in bonding activities, folk games, experienced the unique culinary culture and traditional crafts of Son Tay - the land of Doai; and engaged in charitable activities, donating gifts at Duong Lam Primary School, Xuan Son Secondary School, and Tung Thien High School.

During the semi-final night, the contestants went through the following rounds: showcasing a collection of ao dai (traditional Vietnamese dresses) by designers from the T&T Fashion Design Academy; giving presentations on the role of intelligence, understanding of history and culture, especially about ao dai and beauty, in honoring the traditional values ​​of Vietnamese women; and a talent competition.

The journey to find the winner of the Miss Heritage Ao Dai Vietnam pageant is nearing its end. In the semi-final round, the judging panel comprehensively evaluated the contestants based on several criteria: confident demeanor, beauty, intelligence, performance ability, conduct, and positive contributions to the community. Following the semi-final, the 16 most outstanding contestants were selected to compete in the final round.

"Son Tay is a land rich in historical traditions, culture, and heritage. Through this competition, we aim to highlight the unique cultural values ​​of Son Tay, especially its historical and cultural relics and natural landscapes, attracting the attention of domestic and international tourists and promoting local economic development."

"The competition is also an opportunity to introduce the traditional cultural values ​​of Son Tay town, thereby raising awareness of preserving cultural and historical heritage within the community. Organizing the competition also aims to build and enhance the image of Son Tay town as an attractive cultural destination in the eyes of tourists and investors," affirmed the Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Son Tay town.

The final night of the Miss Vietnamese Ao Dai Heritage pageant took place at 7:30 PM on January 11th at the Son Tay Town Cultural and Sports Center, featuring performances by famous guest singers such as Phuong My Chi, diva Thanh Lam, singers Tang Duy Tan, Thoai Nghi, Minh Chau, and others.
