The University of Finance and Marketing (UFM) recently held a conference to announce and present appointment decisions for the title of Associate Professor (PGS) for the year 2025 to 7 staff and lecturers.
The highlight of the event was the policy of awarding 300 million VND to each newly appointed Associate Professor. According to the university, this is clear evidence of its policy of valuing, attracting, and developing talent, and its strategy of improving the quality of its faculty.
Associate Professor Pham Tien Dat - the school's Rector - congratulated and acknowledged the persistent efforts of the newly appointed Associate Professors, and expressed his hope that they would continue to play a pivotal role in training, scientific research, leading young lecturers, and contributing to the sustainable development of the school.
Previously, Dong Thap University also awarded 500 million VND to a lecturer who met the criteria for professor (GS) and 250 million VND to a lecturer who was recognized as associate professor (PGS).
The salaries of professors, associate professors, and doctors at universities are undergoing many changes. Along with bonuses for existing staff, institutions have introduced various policies to recruit talent.
The University of Finance and Marketing implements a one-time incentive program for individuals holding the titles of Professor, Associate Professor, or with a doctoral degree to work in teaching and scientific research at the university, ranging from 60 to 500 million VND depending on academic rank, degree, age, etc.
Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry also offers a recruitment policy where professors receive 300-500 million VND, associate professors 350 million VND, and doctors 200-250 million VND. Depending on their capabilities, candidates receive an amount within the specified range.
Many other universities also awarded 200-300 million VND immediately, such as the University of Economics and Law (Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City), the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City), the University of Industry and Trade Ho Chi Minh City, Nguyen Tat Thanh University, etc.
