Support 4,240 Tet gifts for workers in difficult circumstances

Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor (FFL) Nguyen The Lap said that on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2024, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor decided to support 4,240 gifts for union members and workers in especially difficult circumstances.

Accordingly, each gift is worth at least 500,000 VND in cash and at most 1.3 million VND including cash and gifts. All 4,240 gifts with a total value of nearly 2.9 billion VND will be given to 4,240 union members and workers in especially difficult circumstances, who have suffered work-related accidents, occupational diseases, serious illnesses, natural disasters, reduced working hours, or job losses due to businesses reducing production and business, ceasing operations, dissolving, or going bankrupt, etc. to ensure that union members and workers have a safe, joyful, and happy Tet holiday.

The funding for the gift giving is supported by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Provincial Confederation of Labor and the grassroots trade unions. The Provincial Confederation of Labor also calls on units and enterprises to support resources to join hands with the trade union organization to care for and support union members and workers on the occasion of the Lunar New Year.

The gift giving event is expected to take place from January 25 to February 5. This activity is part of the plan to take care of union members and workers at all levels of the Quang Tri provincial union to have a "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Chia Chia" with the motto that all union members and workers have a Tet.
