As of November 17, 2023, Quang Tri province has 3,439 operating enterprises. Of which, 2,018 enterprises operate in the field of trade and services, 1,301 enterprises operate in the field of industry - construction and 120 enterprises operate in the field of agriculture . To support the improvement of the competitiveness of enterprises, the province has gradually completed the system of industrial, transportation, trade and tourism infrastructure in the area.
In particular, attention is paid to completing the infrastructure of Nam Dong Ha Industrial Park; Quan Ngang Industrial Park; Quang Tri Industrial Park, Tay Bac Ho Xa Industrial Park; Dong Nam Economic Zone... to attract dynamic projects with spillover effects to contribute to promoting economic growth.
Along with that, the province has paid attention to completing the infrastructure of 21 industrial clusters in districts and towns to serve the need to relocate production facilities in craft villages in residential areas to concentrated production areas. Overcoming the situation of dispersed production, creating favorable conditions for environmental management and control; attracting projects to develop supporting industries, satellite industries of key projects, economic zones, and industrial parks in the province. Industrial promotion activities support the start-up, establishment and capacity building of rural industrial establishments. Support the construction of technical demonstration models, technology transfer, application of advanced machinery and equipment and development of new products. Support labor training, support the application of cleaner production in industry; support for protection of brands, trademarks and industrial designs.
Support in market, product consumption, promote technology transfer, apply science and technology to develop production, improve productivity, product quality, management capacity, perfect products, expand consumption market, increase competitiveness in the market.
At the same time, the traffic infrastructure system has also been gradually completed. Traffic routes continue to be expanded and completed, such as the road connecting the East branch of Ho Chi Minh Road with the West branch of Ho Chi Minh Road; the Eastern bypass project of Dong Ha City; the conveyor belt project across the border to transport coal from Laos to Vietnam via La Lay International Border Gate, Cua Viet Port; My Thuy deep-water seaport... continuing to complete the infrastructure of La Lay International Border Gate...
The commercial infrastructure is also completed with a system of rural markets that has been invested in and upgraded synchronously. There are currently 54 rural markets in the province classified by class, accounting for 2/3 of the total number of markets in the province. Production and business activities in craft villages, industrial villages, and small-scale industries are developing. The network of distribution channels for markets, shopping centers, supermarkets; and the system of stores selling gasoline and liquefied petroleum gas are widespread, meeting the shopping needs of people in the region.
The province is currently implementing steps to build the Lao Bao (Vietnam) - Densavanh (Laos) cross-border economic-commercial zone. Regarding tourism infrastructure, the province is continuing to complete tourism infrastructure projects such as the Project "Developing tourism infrastructure to support comprehensive growth in the Greater Mekong Subregion, Phase 2 - Quang Tri Province Sub-project"; Project to preserve, restore and upgrade key revolutionary historical relics of the province.

Along with focusing on completing industrial and transport infrastructure, the province also pays attention to creating concentrated raw material areas to proactively source goods for agricultural processing and export. Accordingly, it has planned and created concentrated raw material areas for rubber, coffee, pepper, and raw cassava according to Resolution No. 03/2017/NQ-HDND on policies to support the development of some crops and livestock to create key products with competitive advantages.
Encourage the development of high-tech agriculture and organic agriculture; encourage the linkage of production and consumption of agricultural products in Quang Tri province in the period of 2020-2025, with a vision to 2030 according to Resolution 02/2019/NQHDND dated July 20, 2019. Implement the provincial industrial development plan, in which renewable energy has become a breakthrough with high efficiency and positive contribution to economic growth and increased budget revenue. The power production capacity has increased, the total commercial power generation capacity of energy projects in the province has increased.
In the context of increasingly deep international integration as today, improving competitiveness has become a matter of survival for enterprises. In addition to the support efforts of the province, enterprises need to proactively seize opportunities, make the most of the support of the State and the province to improve competitiveness in the environment of integration and development.
At the same time, focus on developing human resources to meet the requirements of technological innovation, production and business processes. Implement innovation in production and business models associated with the goal of sustainable development.
