By November 2024, the program had expanded to 18 provinces and cities nationwide, continuing to spread practical values that help improve the lives and enhance the livelihoods of women.

Don't leave rural women behind in the digital age.

On December 5th, in Soc Trang, Nestlé Vietnam, in collaboration with VBCSD and the Vietnam Women's Union, organized a seminar on the theme "Creating Positive Social Value Through Enhancing Women's Economic Empowerment".

At the seminar, representatives from Nestlé Vietnam and other delegates shared diverse perspectives and updated information on policies, guidelines, and best practices in ESG. A highlight was the "Nestlé accompanies women" program, a collaboration between Nestlé Vietnam and the Vietnam Women's Union, which was recognized as a prime example of an initiative to promote gender equality, closely linked to the social pillar (S) in ESG.

After four years of implementation, the program has trained and enhanced the knowledge and skills of thousands of members, helping them adapt to digital transformation and create livelihoods.

Ms. Truong Thi Thu Thuy, a member of the Presidium of the Vietnam Women's Union, stated that as of November 2024, the program had been implemented in 18 provinces. The "Nestlé Sister" model, part of the "Nestlé accompanies women" program, has attracted participation from 388 communes with 2,760 Nestlé Sisters. These women have participated very actively, not only gaining additional knowledge but also improving their income and enhancing the quality of their family life.

From 2024, the program also implemented the "Cooking with Maggi to Build a Business" model to diversify livelihood channels for female members, creating opportunities for women to start businesses based on their passion for cooking.

Soc Trang is one of the exemplary provinces participating in this program. Ms. Tran Thi Kim Phuong, Vice President of the Soc Trang Provincial Women's Union, said: "On average, each member participating in the program has increased their stable income by 1-2.5 million VND/month, improving the quality of life not only for themselves but also for their families and the local community."

The program's highlights include guiding women on the use of digital applications and tools, improving family healthcare skills, and family financial management skills, helping women become increasingly confident and assert their position in the family as well as in their daily work.
