According to initial information, at around 4 p.m. the same day, a fire broke out from a kiosk in the market, then quickly spread to 3 adjacent kiosks, black smoke rising dozens of meters high.

Upon receiving the news, authorities immediately dispatched three fire trucks and dozens of officers and soldiers to the scene to put out the fire.

According to witnesses, the fire broke out fiercely and spread quickly because many kiosks contained flammable materials. Some kiosks were unattended at the time of the fire, forcing authorities to break down the doors to access and control the fire.

Notably, the area where the fire broke out had many restaurants and gas cylinders. Firefighters had to move the cylinders out of the danger zone.

By about 5:00 p.m. the same day, the fire was basically under control.

Authorities are continuing to investigate, estimate damages and clarify the cause of the fire.
