On April 25, at Fukuoka Civic Hall, under the sponsorship of the Consulate General of Vietnam in Fukuoka, the Vietnam-Japan Friendship Symphony Concert, performed jointly by the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra and the Kyushu Symphony Orchestra, was a great success.

Speaking at the event, Consul General Vu Chi Mai shared that the concert was held to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and the reunification of Vietnam - a sacred and proud milestone in the history of the Vietnamese nation. This event is also an opportunity for the people of the two countries to honor the values of peace , solidarity and above all, the strong spirit of friendship between Vietnam and Japan.
The Consul General emphasized that the concert became even more special and meaningful with the presence of excellent artists from two famous orchestras, the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra and the Kyushu Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Conductor Honna Tetsuji - a passionate artist who, since 2001, has been associated with and contributed to the great success of Vietnamese music and has been an important bridge between Vietnamese and Japanese music in recent times.
The Vietnamese side will have the participation of pianist Nguyen Viet Trung - one of Vietnam's outstanding young talents on the international classical music stage. Despite his young age, Nguyen Viet Trung has won many prestigious awards around the world and performed at many famous theaters in Europe.

The concert was attended by nearly 500 audiences, including a large number of Vietnamese citizens living, studying and working in Fukuoka and the Kyushu region.
Fukuoka Governor Hattori Seitaro and his wife attended the event. Also attending the concert were the Consul General of the Kingdom of Thailand in Fukuoka and the Head of the U.S. Consulate General in Fukuoka.

Within the framework of the concert program, the Consulate General of Vietnam in Fukuoka coordinated with the Fukuoka Provincial Cultural Promotion Board to organize a Welcome concert performed by artists of the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra at Fukuoka City Hall.

In addition, from April 24-25, at the Fukuoka City Hall area, Vietnamese food stalls were deployed to promote and widely introduce traditional Vietnamese dishes such as beef noodle soup, banh mi, spring rolls... to a large number of people in Fukuoka province and the Kyushu region.

Recently, the Vietnamese Consulate General in Fukuoka has proactively and actively coordinated with local authorities in the Kyushu region to organize music and culinary connection and exchange activities in Fukuoka province and other localities in the consular area.
This symphony concert event received the response and high appreciation of the government, people of Fukuoka province and the Vietnamese community living and working in the area.
Through the event, Japanese people will better understand the development of Vietnamese music, the beauty of culinary culture and fine traditions of the Vietnamese people, thereby contributing to strongly enhancing people-to-people exchanges between the two countries and further promoting the deep and close friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Japan.
