The shipment serves the goal of developing VIMC Lines' fleet of vehicles, aiming to become the leading container transport enterprise in Vietnam.
The signing ceremony was attended by Mr. Doan Quang Thinh - Director of the Company, Ms. Do Thi Ngoc Trang - General Director of VIMC Lines and representatives of both sides.
The signing ceremony took place in a solemn and professional atmosphere, demonstrating the spirit of strategic cooperation and mutual development between two leading enterprises in the maritime supply chain.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, a representative of VIMC Lines emphasized: “The simultaneous investment of 1,000 new containers demonstrates our strong commitment to improving our operational capacity and increasing the efficiency of the supply chain. This is also a necessary step to ensure stable and reliable service provision for domestic and international customers. At the same time, the cooperation with Hoa Phat also demonstrates our strategy of choosing a long-term partner, developing together for the common benefit.”
Representative of Hoa Phat, Mr. Doan Quang Thinh shared: “With a modern production system, strict quality control process and the ability to self-supply raw materials, we ensure to provide products that meet international standards, on schedule and in accordance with the actual exploitation requirements of customers. Hoa Phat is ready to accompany VIMC Lines in the long-term development strategy and contribute to the growth of Vietnam's logistics industry.”
In 2025, Hoa Phat continued to receive orders from domestic partners, maintaining stable orders, and labor productivity at the factory has now doubled compared to last year. Hoa Phat container factory is currently exceeding the production plan thanks to the skills of workers and strict quality control processes.
Hoa Phat's container factory has a total capacity of 500,000 TEU/year, focusing on producing popular containers from 20-40 feet, phase 1 with a capacity of 200,000 TEU/year. With this scale, Hoa Phat is the largest container manufacturer in Vietnam and Southeast Asia.
Hoa Phat has a great advantage thanks to its ability to self-supply raw materials of weather-resistant hot-rolled coil (HRC) grade SPA-H, produced at the Dung Quat Iron and Steel Complex. The company aims to localize 90–95% of input materials by the end of 2025, thereby reducing costs and ensuring stable production.
At the same time, research and development work is being promoted to optimize container components to keep up with global trends. Domestic raw material self-sufficiency not only helps reduce costs but also enhances competitiveness and ensures sustainability in production.
This contract continues to affirm Hoa Phat's role in the high-quality container supply chain in Vietnam, while demonstrating the growing trust from large domestic and foreign transport enterprises. This is also a step forward in Hoa Phat's strategy to expand the logistics market, towards sustainable development and enhancing comprehensive competitiveness.
The two sides expect that the cooperative relationship will be expanded in the coming time, on the basis of jointly developing and effectively exploiting the potential of the maritime transport industry.
