The work “In the footsteps of Ho Chi Minh” uses oil paint with the size of 142 cm x 120 cm. The idea of the painting comes from the artist’s deep admiration for President Ho Chi Minh, the great leader of Vietnam who has contributed to promoting the working class and oppressed peoples in the world to fight for national liberation.

The painting depicts President Ho Chi Minh with an intelligent, calm and steadfast demeanor. In the process of drawing his portrait, artist Georg Esco studied many historical documents and documentary photos of Uncle Ho to be able to depict the most prominent features on his face.

President Ho Chi Minh not only devoted his entire life to the cause of national liberation, but he also made great contributions in inspiring people around the world, especially revolutionaries and peace lovers.

“Those are the eyes of an outstanding revolutionary soldier, full of aspiration to liberate the country - the one who read the Declaration of Independence on September 2, 1945, giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, opening an era of independence and freedom for the Vietnamese people,” painter George Esco emotionally shared with Nhan Dan Newspaper reporters.
