Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh: The Government thanks and always listens, shares, and creates favorable conditions for the press to operate smoothly.

On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025), on the afternoon of June 19, at the Government Headquarters, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired a meeting of the Government Standing Committee with leaders and former leaders of press agencies to express gratitude and remember the contributions of generations of journalists through the ages.

Also attending were: Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh ; Deputy Prime Ministers Bui Thanh Son and Mai Van Chinh; leaders of press management agencies, ministries, branches and central agencies; veteran journalists; leaders and former leaders of central press agencies.

At the meeting, after Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung informed about the press activities in recent times, especially the activities to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day, which were rich, practical, meaningful, and left a deep impression..., General Director of the Voice of Vietnam Do Tien Sy affirmed that throughout its history of formation and development, under the leadership of the Party and management of the State, Vietnam Revolutionary Press has always served the Fatherland, served the people, for the interests of the nation, the people and the people; constantly growing, meeting the requirements of the Vietnamese revolution in each historical period; thanking and believing that it will continue to receive the attention, direction, and facilitation of the Government and the Prime Minister in the new development period.

Veteran journalist Ha Dang, former Head of the Central Ideology and Culture Committee, former Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, former Editor-in-Chief of Communist Magazine, reviewed his career, personal growth as well as the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press; affirmed and believed that the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press will continue to develop to meet the requirements of the Party, the Fatherland, and the people.

Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association Le Quoc Minh, on behalf of journalists, expressed his gratitude to the Government and the Prime Minister for their direction and attention to the press over the past time, helping the press system to contribute to the development of the country; proposed that the Government and the Prime Minister continue to pay attention and direct ministries, branches and localities to increase press orders, support press agencies to develop technology infrastructure; support and allocate funds for training skills and technology for journalists...

Sending best wishes to veteran journalists, leaders, former leaders of press agencies and journalists in Vietnam, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said that currently, the world and regional situation is changing rapidly, complicatedly and unpredictably, requiring each country to adapt and adapt flexibly.

Domestically, we are actively and effectively implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress in the context of many difficulties and challenges due to the impact of the world situation, epidemics, natural disasters... and have achieved many important results, especially in terms of growth targets; stabilizing the macro economy, controlling inflation, ensuring major balances of the economy; public debt, government debt, foreign debt, budget deficit under control...

According to the Prime Minister, despite many important and historic results, to achieve the two 100-year goals, breakthroughs are needed. Therefore, the Central Executive Committee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat, headed by General Secretary To Lam, have set out the task of carrying out strategic tasks and creating breakthroughs so that Vietnam can keep up, move forward, and surpass.

In particular, the whole country has been implementing a revolution in the organization and apparatus of the political system and decentralization, decentralization, and organization of two-level local governments, in conjunction with the implementation of the Politburo's resolutions in the "Four Pillars" on: Science, technology, innovation, digital transformation; international integration in the new situation; building, perfecting institutions and law enforcement; developing the private economy. In the near future, the Politburo will issue a Resolution on modernization, breakthroughs in education and training development, and people's health care...

Reviewing the historical development process and important contributions of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press throughout the struggle for national independence, building and defending the Fatherland, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed that the Government and the Prime Minister have always received the support, consensus, joint efforts and unanimity of press agencies and journalists.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh believes that journalists nationwide will always be brave, “bright-hearted, pure-hearted, sharp-pointed”, continue to contribute and bring to readers, audiences and listeners many quality journalistic works, reflecting the breath and pulse of life, contributing to building a humane, professional, modern Vietnamese Revolutionary Press, contributing more and more to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland, for a socialist Vietnam, a rich people, a strong country, democracy, fairness and civilization.

The Prime Minister affirmed that the Government and the Prime Minister always listen, share and create the most favorable conditions for the activities of press agencies and journalists in accordance with the guidelines, policies and laws of the Party and State and within the authority of the Government.

Responding to proposals from press agency leaders and journalists, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh requested the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to coordinate with the Vietnam Journalists Association and relevant ministries, branches and agencies to develop a Government Resolution on ordering press to meet the requirements of press development in the spirit of 6 clear: Clear people, clear work, clear time, clear products, clear responsibilities, clear authority.

The Journalists Association coordinates with the Ministry of Science and Technology and major technology corporations to develop plans and projects to build and ensure infrastructure and technology platforms for press agencies in the spirit of harmonizing the interests of the State, network operators, and journalists; the Journalists Association and press agencies work with the Ministry of Finance and relevant ministries and branches to study increasing the budget for the press...
