“The Firewall of Chang'an” - a TV series about cybercrime

At 9:00 p.m. every Friday and Saturday starting November 7, on channel H1 and digital platforms of Hanoi Radio and Television, audiences can enjoy the 45-episode TV series "Trang An Firewall - Digital Trap Project".

This is the first Vietnamese television drama project to delve deeply into cybercrime and cryptocurrency fraud, bringing tense intellectual stories and at the same time being a "handbook" to help people identify sophisticated scams in the digital space.

The film is based on real cases, typically the "Mr. Pips" fraud case at the end of 2024 with the amount of money embezzled nearly 6,000 billion VND. The film recreates the mind-boggling battle between the capital's police force, headed by Colonel Tran Hoang (played by Meritorious Artist Hoang Hai) and a sophisticated high-tech crime ring, from virtual investment tricks, money laundering to psychological manipulation through disguised "training" courses. Meritorious Artist Hoang Hai returns as a police officer, both steadfast and quick-witted, and also brings the everyday concerns of a father, close to the audience.

The production team focused on exploiting the psychological “blind spots” that make victims easily fall into traps: greed, the illusion of getting rich quickly, and the belief in fake images of success. Thereby, the film not only has entertainment elements but also reflects the reality of cybercrime in the 4.0 era, raising public awareness and warning people about sophisticated tricks.

The film's cast includes many generations of artists: Meritorious Artist Hoang Hai, Meritorious Artist Trinh Mai Nguyen, Meritorious Artist Thanh Binh, Meritorious Artist Ngoc Tan, and young faces such as Doan Quoc Dam, Thuy Anh, Truong Hoang, Luu Duy Khanh, Trong Minh...

“Trang An Firewall” is expected to make a strong impression, contributing to spreading the spirit of vigilance, responsibility and cooperation in protecting a safe cyberspace.
