Vietnam U22 had a good start at the Panda Cup 2025 with a 1-0 victory over host China U22. The victory not only helped coach Dinh Hong Vinh's team finish second in the rankings, but also created a boost in morale before two more difficult challenges, Uzbekistan U22 and South Korea U22, and further ahead, the 33rd SEA Games campaign and the 2026 AFC U23 Championship.
Before the second match, coach Dinh Hong Vinh asked his players to continue to improve their ball control, increase their transition speed and improve their efficiency in the final decisive phases. Mr. Vinh emphasized that the victory against U22 China is very important, but what the team needs is to improve with each match. Uzbekistan is a strong opponent, with good organization and technical play, so the players must prepare more carefully to maintain the initiative.

U22 Vietnam learned many lessons from the victory over U22 China.
In fact, in the opening match, although U22 Vietnam won, it revealed many problems. Coach Dinh Hong Vinh's students almost lost in one-on-one situations, were passive when the opponent changed their state, and lost concentration at many times. Minh Phuc's goal in the 81st minute was considered a personal flash of light, but overall, U22 Vietnam did not play as well as the opponent.
However, the above problems can be solved when U22 Vietnam learns its lesson. In particular, in the match against U22 Uzbekistan, coach Dinh Hong Vinh can use the strongest lineup, when Viktor Le, Dinh Bac... are ready to play. In the previous match, these players joined the team late due to V-League schedule, so they were given the opportunity to rest.

Being able to deploy the optimal lineup, Coach Dinh Hong Vinh can more easily calculate the playing style and tactics. U22 Vietnam is expected to compete fairly with strong opponent U22 Uzbekistan.
In March this year, U22 Vietnam drew U22 Uzbekistan in a friendly tournament in China. But in youth football, it is difficult to predict anything, and let's wait and see which team plays better in the rematch at Panda Cup 2025.
The match between U22 Vietnam and U22 Uzbekistan will take place at 2:30 p.m. on November 15 in Sichuan, China.
Expected lineup of U22 Vietnam: Van Binh, Nhat Minh, Ly Duc, Hieu Minh, Anh Quan, Van Truong, Viktor Le, Van Khang, Xuan Bac, Dinh Bac, Thanh Nhan.
