Entering the competition field on the morning of November 16, 2024 Asian champion Nguyen Thanh Tien became the new world champion in the classic bodybuilding category for male athletes up to 1.82 m tall. The bodybuilder from Ho Chi Minh City has put all his energy into the tournament in Indonesia, skipping a series of other competitions this year to dream of one success on top of the world.

Nguyen Thanh Tien won the gold medal for the first time at the world arena.
Unlike her male counterpart Thanh Tien, 2024 world champion Ta Thi Ngoc Bich failed to defend her two titles won last season. Ngoc Bich only finished second in the Model Physique category for women up to 1.70 m tall and third in the Ladies Model Physique category, for women over 35 years old.

The 2025 World Bodybuilding and Fitness Championships, organized by the World Bodybuilding and Physique Federation (WBPF), will take place from November 14 to 16 on the tourist island of Batam, Indonesia. The 16th edition will have 34 delegations from countries and territories around the world, with 298 athletes competing in many events, competing for 46 sets of medals.

Vietnam team ranked second overall with two runners-up in the men's and women's team events.
With 10 gold medals, 5 silver medals and 2 bronze medals, the Vietnamese team achieved results equivalent to the 2024 season but could not defend its ranking against fierce competition from many strong opponents.
Vietnam won a hat-trick of runner-ups, including second place in the men's team, second place in the women's team and second place overall. India made a strong impression when rising to the number 1 position at this tournament with 11 gold medals, 9 silver medals and 5 bronze medals while "phenomenon" Mongolia won third place overall with 9 gold medals, 4 silver medals and 5 bronze medals.
