Truong Vinh Hien defeated Ly Hoang Nam to win the pickleball tournament in Australia.

(Dan Tri) - In the final match at PPA Australia, Truong Vinh Hien excellently defeated Ly Hoang Nam with a score of 2-0 (11-9 and 11-3) to win the championship.

The match between Truong Vinh Hien and Ly Hoang Nam was a rematch of the PPA Asia semi-final held in Da Nang in October. It was a controversial match between two players regarding “inside ball or outside ball”.

There was no controversy in the PPA final in Australia this afternoon (November 16). Instead, they showed off some beautiful moves for the fans.

Once again, Truong Vinh Hien won against Ly Hoang Nam. The 2004-born player had an excellent 2-0 victory (11-9 and 11-3) to claim the highest position.

In set 1, Vinh Hien played proactively and continuously had the advantage of leading. When the score was 5-2 in Vinh Hien's favor, Hoang Nam shortened it to 4-5. Then, the young player continued to lead 10-4, then the senior player shortened it to 9-10. The good news is that Vinh Hien showed his mettle and won 11-9.

In set 2, Vinh Hien overwhelmed Hoang Nam, winning 10-1. But after Hoang Nam recovered 2 points, the match was suddenly stopped for 3 hours due to heavy rain. When returning, Vinh Hien completed the decisive points to win 11-3.

Sharing after winning the PPA Australia championship, Vinh Hien said: “This is a victory that I have been waiting for a long time. I went through a difficult match and am very happy to win in Australia.”
