After the second match at the international friendly tournament CFA Team China - Panda Cup 2025, U22 Vietnam lost to U22 Uzbekistan 1-0, Acting Head Coach Dinh Hong Vinh shared objectively about the team's performance in this tournament.
Coach Dinh Hong Vinh admitted that the team still has some areas to improve, especially in the ability to handle the final touches and maintain the pressing rhythm throughout the match. In the match against Uzbekistan, U22 Vietnam created many opportunities in the second half, but lacked a bit of precision and decisiveness to convert them into goals.
“The 1-0 loss is a pity. The team created some good chances but lacked a bit of precision in the final situations. However, this is an international friendly tournament, our goal is to build the squad, test the players and gain experience. The players will have a meeting to review the match and become more mature,” coach Dinh Hong Vinh shared.

In addition to the technical factor, coach Dinh Hong Vinh highly appreciated the reaction of the players when facing an early disadvantage. "The early loss certainly affected the tactics, but the important thing is that the whole team did not get carried away by the opponent. The players maintained stability, persisted with the original intention and continued to look for opportunities to equalize. I was pleased that the team's spirit did not give up," he said.

The Vietnam U22 team will return to the training ground today (November 16) to prepare for the final match against Korea U22, taking place at 2:30 p.m. (Vietnam time) on November 18.
U22 Korea is a team that is considered to have a strong physical foundation, speed and modern playing style. Coach Dinh Hong Vinh said: “U22 Korea is a high-quality team, moving a lot and having good speed. We will analyze today's match, consider the physical condition of each player to make appropriate adjustments. The goal is to play more organized, maintain team distance and improve the quality of the final moves. At the same time, we will continue to create opportunities for players who need more playing time.”
