Completed demolition of 2 apartment buildings within the construction area of Nguyen Trai bridge

On the afternoon of November 19, the Management Board of the Hai Phong Traffic and Agricultural Construction Investment Project received the handover of the land area of two apartment buildings at No. 6 Nguyen Trai and No. 8 May To after the People's Committee of Ngo Quyen Ward completed the dismantling of the two buildings.

This is the area serving the construction of the Nguyen Trai Bridge Investment Project and urban beautification of the surrounding area.

Previously, on October 24, the Ngo Quyen Ward Land Recovery Enforcement Board completed the land recovery enforcement against 8 households in two apartment buildings that had not yet complied with handing over the site for project construction.

As of November 19, there are still two organizations that have not completed site clearance: Hai Phong Port Joint Stock Company and Vietnam Railway Corporation .

Of which, Hai Phong Port has just handed over more than 7 hectares (from wharf No. 1 to No. 3 of Hoang Dieu Port); the city will create conditions for the company to hand over the remaining area of 231,155.5 m2 (from wharf No. 3 to No. 9 of Hoang Dieu Port) according to the schedule in 2025.

Regarding the area of 23,627 m2 related to Vietnam Railway Corporation, the procedures and roadmap for handing over railway infrastructure assets from Hai Phong station to Chua Ve port for project construction have not yet been agreed upon.

The project to invest in the construction of Nguyen Trai Bridge and the improvement of the surrounding area is a special-grade traffic project with a total investment of 6,235.5 billion VND, including the construction of Nguyen Trai Bridge across Cam River, 1,476.4 m long, 111 m high tower. Construction of the intersection connecting with Le Thanh Tong Street and expansion of Nguyen Trai Street connecting with Le Hong Phong Street.
