Responding to the Campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas", organizations and people in localities are joining hands to create a new, increasingly green, clean and modern look for the city.

Hai Duong province (old) has reached the new rural finish line since 2020, of which 77 communes have met the advanced new rural standards and 17 communes have met the model standards. In the proud overall achievements, the role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city and socio-political organizations is like a thread connecting the spirit of solidarity, arousing the people's strength, turning policies into concrete and effective actions.

Source of power from the people

In Cat Hai special zone, the model of "Green tourism, sustainable economic development" is being implemented by the Vietnam Fatherland Front in the special zone in the construction of new rural areas associated with the development of services and tourism. Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the special zone Vu Thi My Lien informed that the Front proactively coordinates with organizations and authorities to mobilize people, owners of accommodation establishments, restaurants, cruise ships... to implement "green" criteria including using energy economically, limiting plastic waste, preserving landscapes and promoting local cultural identity with the criteria of "5 yes, 5 no".

From 15 households initially running homestay businesses in Xuan Dam commune (old), the model has now spread to many other communes, becoming a civilized way of life in economic development. Along with that, the people of the special zone donated more than 19,000 m² of land, contributing thousands of working days to build 87 roads, cultural houses and community institutions. The Front also coordinated to launch the movements "Bright, green, clean, beautiful roads", "Day of the whole people joining hands for a green, clean, beautiful Cat Hai island", linking tourism with a cultural lifestyle, friendly behavior and a sense of environmental responsibility.

Thanks to the effective mobilization of the staff of the Front Committee of the new Residential Group No. 8, Gia Vien Ward, the people contributed 17 million VND to equip flag stands and national flags for 220 households. At the same time, 48 households encroaching on technical slots were mobilized to voluntarily dismantle the constructions encroaching on technical slots, ensuring the technical slots were clear. The drainage system of the whole group, after many years of being clogged with mud and some construction households letting construction materials flow down the drain, was also cleared thanks to the mobilization of social resources from the people worth more than 90 million VND. Ms. Dang Thi Nhung, a local resident, said that the Front staff mobilized very skillfully, openly and transparently, so the people all trusted and agreed.

Adhering to the motto "People know, people discuss, people do, people inspect, people supervise, people benefit", the Fatherland Front and local socio-political organizations actively participate in building advanced new rural areas, model new rural areas and civilized urban areas with effective methods. In Tu Ky commune, the Fatherland Front and organizations mobilized the entire population to contribute thousands of working days, donate land to expand, repair and build more than 30 km of rural roads. Nam Sach commune mobilized people to donate more than 5,000 ^m2 of land to build new rural roads...

Improve quality, substance and sustainability

In the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas" deployed in Hai Phong, it is impossible not to mention the strong participation of political and social organizations. In the period of 2020 - 2025, the Women's Union at all levels carried out 1,364 works and tasks, mobilized 4,500 families to donate 70,700 m² of land, dredged canals, planted flowers, painted murals, and beautified urban areas. The Farmers' Association mobilized the donation of 200,000 m² of land, contributed more than 100 billion VND and 30,000 working days. The City Youth Union deployed 271 "Lighting up the countryside roads" routes, participated in the construction of 78 roads, and repaired 3 village cultural houses.

Deputy Head of the Veterans Affairs Department (City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee) Nguyen Duc Toan informed that from 2023 to now, officials and members of the City Veterans Association have donated 650,800 ^square meters of land, worth more than 110 billion VND, planted 135,250 trees; supported and contributed more than 70 billion VND and tens of thousands of working days to build rural roads, urban beautification, contributing with the locality to reach the new rural destination, building advanced new rural areas.

At the first conference of advanced models of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations of the city, period 2025 - 2030, comrade Pham Van Lap, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city affirmed that the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas" was organized practically by the Front and socio-political organizations, had a widespread effect, strongly attracting the participation of the entire political system and people. The campaign mobilized voluntary contributions from the people and the community with hundreds of thousands of square meters of land, worth thousands of billions of VND, contributing tens of thousands of working days to carry out urban beautification and modernization, renovating and upgrading alleys, installing lighting, planting trees to create a new look for the city.

Promoting the achieved results, in the 2025 - 2030 term, the Front at all levels will focus on improving the quality, substance and sustainability of the movement "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas"; focusing on propaganda and mobilization of all classes of people, participating in site clearance, promoting key investment projects, building "family culture" and "social ethics".
