On the morning of November 21, Hai Phong City Library held the opening ceremony of a book exhibition and a talk with the theme "Hai Phong - Heritage Colors". This is a practical activity to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day (November 23, 2005 - November 23, 2025).
Within the framework of the program, Dr. Duong Duc Hung, former Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hai Phong presented the topic "Vietnamese cultural heritage - values and responsibility for conservation".

With in-depth analysis of the cultural heritage system of Vietnam and Hai Phong, the speaker emphasized the role of heritage in the spiritual life of the community, while promoting the responsibility of each individual, especially the young generation, in preserving and spreading traditional values.
In recent times, the City Library has actively collected, cataloged, digitized and promoted sources of documents on Hai Phong’s history and culture. Thereby bringing heritage closer to readers and contributing to building a reading culture environment rich in local knowledge.

The exhibition “Hai Phong - Heritage Colors” introduces a rich system of documents including books, newspapers, images of relics, scenic spots, festivals, traditional crafts and sea culture of the port city, especially typical heritages such as Bach Dang Giang, Cat Ba archipelago, Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son complex, Kiep Bac, temple of Trang Trinh Nguyen Binh Khiem, Hang Kenh communal house, Ho Chi Minh trail at sea... Besides that are unique intangible heritage values such as cheo, ca tru, water puppetry and traditional festivals of coastal residents.
