Exhibition and extracurricular activities at Lang Ong Song Doc

On the morning of March 13, 2025, Ca Mau Provincial Museum organized an exhibition to introduce the national intangible cultural heritage "The Nghinh Ong Song Doc Festival" at Ong Song Doc Mausoleum, Song Doc town, Tran Van Thoi district. More than 100 students of Song Doc Secondary School 1 participated in the extracurricular activity here. The activity is in response to the 100th anniversary of the Nghinh Ong Song Doc Festival organized by Ca Mau Provincial Museum in coordination with local units to introduce more about the cultural heritage, at the same time arousing the love of the sea and islands and the tradition of solidarity of fishermen in the coastal areas.

Delegates visit the exhibition at Lang Ong Song Doc

The extracurricular program took place with many rich activities. Before entering the main content of the extracurricular session, students and delegates visited, offered incense and flowers at Ong Nam Hai Mausoleum. After that, they visited and listened to the explanation about the exhibition "The Whale Festival of Song Doc - Ca Mau 100 years of formation and development" . The exhibition brought valuable images and documents about the festival associated with the life of fishermen in the coastal area of ​​Ca Mau for the past century.

In particular, the most exciting part of the program was the series of extracurricular games; Students enthusiastically participated in historical learning games such as "Following the course of history" , "Who remembers the most" and "Quick questions - Short answers" . With the content revolving around the Nam Hai Ong Lang relic, Song Doc Ong Festival and the sovereignty of the islands, it helped students consolidate their knowledge of the cultural history of their homeland and country. In addition, the physical games also created a vibrant atmosphere, training the spirit of solidarity and teamwork skills for students. After a period of active activities, the program ended with a summary and awarding of gifts to outstanding teams and individuals.
