Tuition fees of Northern medical schools: Highest is over 500 million VND/year

Tuition fees at many Northern medical schools this year range from 17 to 60 million VND/school year. Among them, there is a school with the highest tuition fee of up to 530 million VND/year.

In the 2025-2026 school year, Medicine is still the major with the highest tuition fees at many schools, ranging from 55 to 62 million VND/year. The majors of Dentistry, Pharmacy, and Traditional Medicine at some schools also have similar tuition fees.

The majors with low tuition fees at medical schools, about 17 million VND/year, are Psychology and Social Work at Hanoi Medical University; Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Chemistry and Biotechnology at Hanoi University of Pharmacy.

Tuition fees at Northern Medical and Pharmaceutical schools for the 2025-2026 school year are as follows:

Hanoi Medical University: 16.9 - 62.2 million VND/school year

According to the announcement of Hanoi Medical University, this school year, tuition fees for the school's majors are expected to range from 16.9 - 62.2 million VND/school year, an increase of 1.9 - 7 million VND compared to 2024.

Of which, the highest tuition fees for Medicine, Traditional Medicine, and Dentistry are 62.2 million VND/year, an increase of about 7 million VND/school year.

The tuition fee for the majors of Ophthalmology Refractive Surgery, Medical Laboratory Technology, Rehabilitation Technology, Advanced Nursing Program, Midwifery, Medical Imaging Technology, and Dental Restoration Technology is 47.2 million VND/year, an increase of about 5.4 million VND/year.

The remaining majors range from 16.9 - 31.1 million VND/year, of which Psychology and Social Work are the majors with the lowest tuition fees at Hanoi Medical University.

University of Medicine and Pharmacy (Hanoi National University): 62.2 million VND/school year

Tuition fees for the 2025-2026 school year of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy (Vietnam National University, Hanoi) are expected to be 62.2 million VND/school year. Last year, tuition fees for Medicine were 55 million VND/school year; Pharmacy was 51 million VND/school year. The remaining majors had tuition fees of 27.6 million VND/school year. The school said that the roadmap for increasing tuition fees each year is implemented according to the Government 's Decree.

Hanoi University of Pharmacy: 17.1 - 150 million VND/school year

In the 2025-2026 school year, the tuition fee for Pharmacy at Hanoi University of Pharmacy is 27.6 million VND/school year, an increase of 3.1 million VND compared to last year. The remaining majors including Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Chemistry and Biotechnology have tuition fees of 17.1 - 24.4 million VND/school year, an increase of about 1.9 - 3.16 million VND compared to last year.

For the joint training program in Pharmacy with the University of Sydney, Australia, the tuition fee when studying at Hanoi University of Pharmacy is 150 million VND/academic year, while at the University of Sydney, it will be collected according to the regulations of the University of Sydney for the corresponding international student training program.

Vietnam Academy of Traditional Medicine: 27.6 - 31.1 million VND/school year

In the 2025-2026 school year, the Vietnam Academy of Traditional Medicine will increase tuition fees compared to last year. Specifically, the tuition fee applied to both Medical and Traditional Medicine training majors is 31.1 million VND/school year (an increase of 3.5 million VND compared to last year); Pharmacy remains at 27.6 million VND/school year.

Hai Phong University of Medicine and Pharmacy: 45 - 58 million VND/school year

Hai Phong University of Medicine and Pharmacy has announced the expected tuition fees for students enrolling from 2023. Specifically, the expected tuition fee for the 2025-2026 school year for Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmacy is about 58 million VND/school year; for Preventive Medicine and Traditional Medicine is about 50 million VND/school year; for Nursing and Medical Laboratory Technology, the tuition fee is 45 million VND/school year.

Thai Binh University of Medicine and Pharmacy: 42 - 55.5 million VND/school year

Thai Binh University of Medicine and Pharmacy plans to collect tuition fees for the 2025-2026 school year for Medicine, Traditional Medicine and Pharmacy at 55.5 million VND/school year, an increase of 14.2 million VND compared to last year.

For Preventive Medicine, Nursing, and Medical Laboratory Technology, tuition is 42 million VND/school year, an increase of 10.8 million VND.

University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Thai Nguyen University: 43 - 59 million VND/school year

Thai Nguyen University of Medicine and Pharmacy announced that tuition fees for new students this year range from 43 to 59 million VND, an increase of 7 to 13 million VND compared to last year.

Of which, the majors in the Medical and Pharmaceutical sector such as Medicine, Pharmacy, and Dentistry have the highest tuition fees at 59 million VND/school year, an increase of about 13 million compared to last year. Majors in the Health sector such as Nursing, Midwifery, Medical Imaging Technology, and Rehabilitation Technology have an estimated tuition fee of 43 million VND/year, an increase of about 7 million VND.

Hai Duong Medical Technical University: 33 - 43.5 million VND/school year

Hai Duong Medical Technical University plans to charge the highest tuition fee for the 2025-2026 school year for the Medicine major at 43.6 million VND/school year. The majors of Medical Laboratory Technology, Medical Imaging Technology and Rehabilitation Technology all have tuition fees of about 33 million VND/school year; the Nursing major has tuition fees of 26.6 million VND/school year.

Nam Dinh University of Nursing: Average 540,000 VND/credit

Nam Dinh University of Nursing announced the expected tuition fee for the 2025-2026 school year as 540,000 VND/credit. The details of the number of credits for each major are as follows: Nursing and Midwifery has 143 credits, Nutrition has 134 credits. In addition, each major also has 8 credits of National Defense - Security Education and 3 credits of Physical Education.

Phenikaa University: 30.1 - 128 million VND/school year

In the 2025-2026 school year, Phenikaa University will train 11 majors/training programs in the health sciences sector with estimated tuition fees of about 30.1 - 128 million VND/school year depending on the major.

Of which, the average tuition fee after incentives for the Medical major is 105 million VND/academic year. For the Dentistry major, the tuition fee after incentives is 128 million VND/academic year. The remaining majors range from 30.1 to 49.5 million VND/academic year.

VinUni University: 530 million VND/school year

In the 2025-2026 school year, VinUni University plans to charge a tuition fee of VND815.85 million/year for the Medical major. However, students enrolling this year will receive a 35% reduction in tuition fees, applicable to the entire standard duration of the program, down to about VND530 million/year.
