Developing industrial zones and clusters in the southernmost region.

Following the implementation of the two-tiered local government model, and with the attention of Da Nang city, the two communes of Nui Thanh and Tam Anh have implemented synchronized solutions to create momentum for the continued development of industrial zones and clusters.

In Nui Thanh commune, there are currently 114 industrial production projects invested in the area, with a total investment of over 40 trillion VND; there are 1,090 industrial production and business establishments operating in the area, providing jobs for thousands of workers.

In Nui Thanh district, the Nam Chu Lai 1 and Trang Ton industrial clusters are already operational. The Nam Chu Lai 2 industrial cluster, covering an area of ​​73.9 hectares, has received investment approval from the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

The Nam Chu Lai 1 and Trang Ton industrial clusters have 16 projects in operation with a total investment of VND 281.83 billion, creating jobs for 1,315 workers. In 2024, the value of industrial and construction production in Nui Thanh commune is estimated to reach VND 65,800 billion, an increase of more than VND 7,200 billion compared to 2020.

In Tam Anh commune, there are 9 investment projects with a total capital of nearly 5,000 billion VND, including the Thaco Chu Lai specialized agricultural and forestry industrial park construction project, the Tam Anh - An An Hoa industrial park infrastructure construction and business project, Tam Anh 1 industrial park, and Vina Korea industrial park.

From 2020 to the present, the local authorities have announced land acquisition for an area of ​​670 hectares, and have actually acquired 457 hectares.

According to Mr. Tran Van Truong, Chairman of the People's Committee of Tam Anh commune, the leading and key industries in Nui Thanh and Tam Anh play an important role in the local economy. Tam Anh has done a good job in land clearance, creating favorable conditions for businesses to implement projects in the area.

In practice, the automotive, mechanical engineering, and supporting industries of Truong Hai Group, the beverage and electronic component manufacturing industries of enterprises in Bac Chu Lai Industrial Park, Tam Hiep Industrial Park, etc., along with industries such as agricultural and forestry product processing, garment manufacturing, dyeing, etc., in industrial clusters have contributed a large proportion to the industrial structure, creating resources to promote socio-economic development in the locality.

To further boost the development of industrial zones and clusters in the area, Nui Thanh and Tam Anh communes have proposed many specific solutions in land clearance and investment promotion, creating favorable conditions for businesses to operate.

This includes focusing on strengthening and improving the compensation and land clearance system to ensure efficient and professional operation with a high sense of responsibility. It also involves close coordination with investors in the planning and implementation of projects in the area.

Local authorities are reviewing and proposing to the Da Nang City People's Committee and competent authorities adjustments and additions to mechanisms and policies on compensation, land clearance, and resettlement support to suit practical requirements.

The communes also focused on mobilizing capital from various sources to invest in the construction of essential technical infrastructure projects, such as completing the technical infrastructure of the Chu Lai - Truong Hai Port and Logistics Industrial Park and the Tam Quang Industrial Cluster. They expanded cooperation, joint ventures, and linkages to develop production and business; and organized meetings and dialogues with businesses to promptly resolve difficulties and obstacles in production and business activities.

For Nui Thanh - a key industrial zone - the goal is to achieve an occupancy rate of over 90% in industrial clusters by 2030.

Continue to expand and improve the infrastructure of the Nam Chu Lai and Trang Ton industrial clusters. Prioritize attracting investors in the fields of building materials manufacturing, processing and preservation of agricultural products and food, goods transshipment, warehousing, mechanical engineering, electronics, and refrigeration.

In addition, effectively carrying out land clearance work to serve projects in the Chu Lai Open Economic Zone will contribute to creating momentum for the development of industrial zones and clusters in the area.
