Academy of Journalism and Communication surveys the quality of university training programs

On April 15, the Academy of Journalism and Communication held the opening ceremony of the official survey to evaluate the quality of 6 regular university-level training programs.

According to the representative of the Center for Education Quality Assessment, the survey and assessment of the quality of training programs aims to ensure objectivity and reliability. The Center has invited independent experts, including scientists and experienced and prestigious managers in the country, to participate in external assessment teams.

Speaking at the ceremony, Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Minh Son, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the Academy of Journalism and Communication, emphasized the key role of accreditation activities in the school's training quality development strategy.

According to Associate Professor Son, up to now, the unit has had 15 university training programs granted Quality Accreditation Certificates. Accreditation activities have become regular and continuous work, demonstrating the determination to comprehensively innovate and improve the training quality of the Academy's Board of Directors.

He hopes that the external evaluation team will provide objective perspectives and appropriate recommendations, helping the Academy of Journalism and Communication continue to improve its programs, meet social demands, and affirm the prestige of the unit in the national university education system.

The regular training programs evaluated for quality this time include: Journalism (majoring in Photojournalism, Print Journalism, Radio Journalism, Television Journalism, Electronic Journalism, Television Filming); Political Science (majoring in Ideological and Cultural Work); Public Relations (majoring in Marketing Communications); Multimedia Communications, Mass Communications; Publishing (majoring in Electronic Publishing).

At the opening ceremony, representatives of the Center for Education Quality Assessment (VNU -Hanoi ) announced the decision to establish external assessment teams and assign supervisors to the training program assessment process.

In 2018, the Academy of Journalism and Communication completed the quality assessment of educational institutions and received the Certificate of Quality Assessment of Educational Institutions meeting educational quality standards issued by the Ministry of Education and Training according to the Decision of the Director of the Center for Educational Quality Assessment - Association of Vietnamese Universities and Colleges.

In 2022, the unit received the Certificate of Quality Accreditation for 4 training programs including the following majors: Philosophy, International Relations, Public Relations and Sociology.

In 2023, the unit was granted an educational accreditation certificate for 7 undergraduate training programs including the following majors: Scientific Socialism, Political Economy, History of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Party Building and State Administration, Publishing Editing, Advertising, and English Language.

In 2024, the Academy will be awarded a certificate of meeting the second cycle of educational institution quality accreditation standards and complete the accreditation of 4 undergraduate training programs including: Policy Communication, International Communication, Economic Management and Public Management.
