Hai Duong Red Cross Society accompanies Quang Nam fishermen

The activity was organized to implement the program "Safety for poor and disadvantaged fishermen" in 2025 launched by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society.

At the program, 140 gifts (500,000 VND/gift) were presented to 140 fishing households of 3 communes Duy Vinh, Duy Hai, Duy Nghia with a total cost of 70 million VND, supported by the Hai Duong Provincial Red Cross Association.

The program "Safety for poor and disadvantaged fishermen" is one of two key programs of the Vietnam Red Cross Society to be implemented in the 2022 - 2027 term.

The program aims to improve working conditions, safety and livelihoods for poor and disadvantaged fishermen, and encourage fishermen to go offshore.

Continuing the program "Safety for poor and disadvantaged fishermen" initiated by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society in 2022, in 2025, the Red Cross Society of Quang Nam province will continue to implement the program in extremely disadvantaged communes, coastal areas and islands in 7 communes of 3 districts: Duy Xuyen (Duy Vinh, Duy Hai, Duy Nghia), Thang Binh (Binh Hai, Binh Nam) and Nui Thanh (Tam Tien, Tam Hai).
