Provincial Red Cross Society donates milk at the Provincial Social Protection Facility

Leaders and officials of the Provincial Red Cross Society presented milk to the Provincial Social Protection Facility.

– On the afternoon of June 23, the Provincial Red Cross Society organized a milk donation program at the Provincial Social Protection Facility.

The provincial Social Protection Center is currently caring for and nurturing 78 subjects, including: lonely elderly people with no place to rely on, orphans, and homeless children. Of these, there are 15 children aged 2-18 years old.

At the program, leaders and officials of the Provincial Red Cross presented 1,600 boxes of fresh milk, with a total value of 8.5 million VND. Since the beginning of 2023, the Provincial Red Cross has presented over 5,000 boxes of milk to preschools in remote areas and the Provincial Social Protection Center.

Leaders of the Provincial Red Cross Society give milk to children being cared for and nurtured at the Provincial Social Protection Facility.

This is one of the activities in the implementation plan of the Vietnam Red Cross Central Committee's strategic program on "Nutrition for poor and disabled children". The goal in the period 2023 - 2028 is to have at least 1 million poor and malnourished children receive help to improve their nutritional and learning conditions. Lang Son is one of 27 provinces and cities directly participating in the implementation of this program.
