Mobilizing more than 9.8 billion VND to implement humanitarian and charity work

In early 2025, Quang Nam Provincial Charity Associations at all levels actively mobilized funds, goods, and necessities to help the poor; promoted the work of calling for and mobilizing aid and relief, and signed agreements on new programs and projects to improve people's lives. In the first 6 months of 2025, the associations at all levels mobilized more than 9.8 billion VND in support resources for charity and humanitarian work. Of which, the provincial association mobilized more than 8.3 billion VND; districts and bases reached more than 1.5 billion VND.

In the past 6 months, the Standing Committee of the Quang Nam Provincial Charity Association has actively called on organizations to sponsor new programs, projects, and non-projects, which have received funding commitments of more than VND 2.2 billion and USD 37,024.65. Specifically, the Orphan Voice Organization committed to sponsoring 473 warm coats for students in A Vuong commune (Dang commune, Tay Giang) worth VND 51 million; the Giving Back Childhood Organization sponsored a container of 520 wheelchairs for people with disabilities worth USD 37,024.65 along with many other supports. The Vietnam Children's Organization committed to sponsoring the implementation of the school milk program and scholarships for students worth more than VND 1.7 billion...

With the program "Pot of love porridge", in the first 6 months of 2025, the Quang Nam Provincial Charity Association also received 2 containers of nutritious rice porridge sponsored by the Vietnam Children's Organization to distribute to schools in the districts: Nam Giang, Dong Giang, Tay Giang, Hiep Duc, Nam Tra My, Bac Tra My, Que Son and Tien Phuoc, with a total value of more than 4.1 billion VND. The Association also coordinated with Buddhist nun Thich Nu Chung Lien to maintain the porridge cooking program to serve poor patients receiving treatment at hospitals in Tam Ky City. In the past 6 months, 180,000 bowls of porridge worth 900 million VND have been provided...

The Provincial Association also cooperated with hospitals to organize medical examination programs for the poor, provide medicine, and give gifts to poor patients. The Association has coordinated with many organizations and individuals at home and abroad to implement many programs to grant scholarships, give bicycles, gifts, and school equipment to students and schools in the province... with a total budget of billions of VND. Associations at all levels also mobilized nearly 950 million VND to donate wheelchairs to people with disabilities in the province.

The Association also mobilized organizations, individuals, philanthropists, and volunteer groups to visit and give gifts to poor households during Tet, students in mountainous schools, victims of Agent Orange, orphans, disabled children, lonely elderly people... with 780 gifts worth more than 670 million VND. On the occasion of Laos's Bunpimay festival, the Association mobilized benefactors and philanthropists nationwide to support the cost of purchasing supplies and gifts for students and people bordering Quang Nam in Dak Chung district, Se Kong province... with a total value of 677 million VND...
