On the afternoon of December 12, in Cao Bang city, a meeting took place between the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (DTC) of Cao Bang province and the delegation of the Department of Culture, Communications, Sports and Tourism of Baise city led by comrade Luong Vinh, member of the Party Cell, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Communications, Sports and Tourism of Baise city, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (China).
On the side of Cao Bang province, there were comrade Sam Viet An, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism ; leaders of the Provincial Police and the Provincial Border Guard Command.
At the talks, the two sides introduced the situation and potential for tourism development of each side, and emphasized that this is a meaningful activity based on the deep understanding of the spirit of the meeting between the leaders of the two Parties and the two States, implementing the common perception reached in the spring meeting program between the secretaries of the two Party committees and promoting cooperation in the fields of culture, sports and tourism between the two localities.
In order to further promote cooperation and exchange in the fields of culture, tourism and sports between Cao Bang province (Vietnam) and Baise city, Guangxi (China), promote the healthy and stable development of bilateral relations, based on the principle of "complementary advantages, mutual benefit, long-term cooperation and mutual development", the two sides exchanged and discussed the following issues: Assessment of the mechanism of talks and exchange work, communication and notification of the development of culture and tourism, sharing of experiences and the level of timely resolution of problems arising between the two sides in their cooperation and exchange; assessment and discussion of directions for cooperation in exploiting border tourism routes, cultural tourism products, and promoting the construction of key cross-border tourism projects. Specify the organization of cooperation in 2-day cross-border tours from Bach Sac city to Cao Bang city and vice versa, research and promote self-driving car tourism services across the Vietnam - China border and vice versa, build a beneficial tourism service system and market order, promote sustainable development of border tourism.
Evaluate and discuss the direction in the work of jointly exploiting Vietnam-China border tourism resources; building tourism infrastructure, creating unique features, enhancing competitiveness in attracting tourists and tourism reception service capacity, creating favorable conditions for tourism businesses of both sides. Evaluate and discuss the direction in organizing exchange activities. Cooperate in exploiting Vietnam-China ethnic art programs, cross-border sports events, art performances, demonstrations of intangible cultural heritage, exhibitions of typical culinary specialties, encouraging the development of border tourism economy.
Research, survey, develop and announce a tourist route connecting the two UNESCO Global Geoparks of Non Nuoc Cao Bang (Vietnam) - Lac Nghiep, Phuong Son, Bach Sac, Quang Tay (China). Strengthen coordination with relevant agencies: Police, Border Guard, Customs, study plans to simplify exit and entry procedures, create favorable conditions for quick customs clearance for tourists at border gates and visiting the center of Cao Bang city - Bach Sac city. Promote cooperation, foster tourism human resources, especially in foreign language proficiency and tourism expertise of both sides; train and improve the quality and quantity of sports athletes.
At the end of the talks, the two sides reached a high level of agreement on the contents discussed. In the coming time, they will continue to increase exchanges and surveys to discuss issues of cooperation in developing culture, sports and tourism.
