The Women's Union of Bac Ninh province was commended for its achievements in implementing the "Godmother" program.

In the 2021-2025 period, the campaign "Building a family of 5 no, 3 clean" has made a strong shift with many initiatives and innovations, keeping up with the requirements set out in the new context. Women across the country have registered and completed more than 18,000 projects and tasks to participate in new rural construction; more than 10,000 models of environmental protection and climate change adaptation; millions of women have received social security support and access to health insurance.

Implementing Project 938 on propaganda, education , mobilization, and support for women to participate in solving a number of social issues related to women, after nearly 3 years of implementing phase 2 (2022-2027), the Project has contributed to significantly raising legal awareness and self-protection capacity of women and children; maintaining and establishing more than 2,300 trusted addresses; over 5,000 parenting education models and more than 2,000 "Leaders of Change" clubs...

The “Godmother” program - a humanitarian initiative born in the post-Covid-19 context - has strongly aroused the spirit of sharing. To date, the whole country has more than 50,000 godmothers directly and indirectly supporting more than 37,000 orphans.

In Bac Ninh, implementing the "Godmother" program, the Women's Union at all levels registered and mobilized cadres, women's union members and businesses to sponsor orphans in difficult circumstances. 100% of the commune-level Unions reviewed the list of orphans and included the sponsorship in the emulation movement. The whole province has more than 2,000 orphans receiving support with a total amount of nearly 11 billion VND. Of which, 1,304 children are regularly sponsored, 746 children are sponsored until 18 years old, with a budget of more than 6.7 billion VND.

Representative of the Women's Union of Bac Ninh province presented support for the "Godmother" program to Ngo Thi Thanh Huyen (Tien Du commune).

In addition, the program is associated with other charitable activities such as: Giving more than 90,000 gifts, 5,000 bicycles, 10,000 sets of books... worth more than 30 billion VND to children at the beginning of the school year and on national holidays. In addition, the Association at all levels regularly visits, encourages, provides psychological counseling, life skills, supports learning and career guidance for children. The program has created a strong spread, mobilizing the political system, community and businesses to join hands to care for and help dreams come true for orphans in Bac Ninh province.

With the above results, the Women's Union of Bac Ninh province is honored to be one of 34 outstanding collectives and individuals (14 collectives, 20 individuals) nationwide in deploying and implementing the "Godmother" program, commended and rewarded by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union.
