BAC NINH - Due to the impact of prolonged heavy rain after storm No. 10, the water level of Cau River rose, threatening to overflow some dikes in Bac Ninh province. Local authorities and functional forces have mobilized maximum human resources and urgently implemented dike protection plans to ensure the safety of people and property.

On the morning of October 2, in Nenh ward, as soon as the incident of Cau river water overflowing the dike was discovered, the ward authorities mobilized human resources and vehicles to urgently fill the 50m section of the dike that was overflowing. All the sand for the bank was donated by the people in the commune to contribute to the safety of the community.

Currently, about 20 households in Nam Ngan residential group have had their houses flooded. Currently, local authorities maintain 24/7 duty, regularly monitor river water level developments, prepare response plans, resolutely prevent unexpected situations from occurring, and protect people's lives and property.

* The flood on the river rose high, causing the dike on the right side of Cau at K36+600, Lac Trung village, Yen Trung commune to collapse on the dike slope on the field side with a landslide arc length of 15m, eating into the dike slope from 0.7-1m.

On the afternoon and night of October 1, the Irrigation Department directed the Dyke Management Unit No. 1 to coordinate with the Yen Trung Commune authorities to urgently mobilize forces, materials, and equipment to fix the problem. At the foot of the landslide, the forces reinforced it by driving bamboo stakes and covering it with earthen sacks.

On the morning of October 2, the area where the landslide occurred on the right dike of Cau Bridge at K36+600, Lac Trung village, Yen Trung commune was basically handled safely.
